Matt Di Angelo - although I totally understand why Alesha won, What a stonking final that was.

Austin Healey by a mile.

Rachel Stevens altough Tom Chambers Showdance was better.

Definitely Gethin, although all of Alesha, Matt & Gethin would have been worthy winners that year.

Ricky, Austin & Denise for me. I loved Colin as well and he was great across the whole series but I was almost relieved he didn't win after Puppetgate.

Gethin Jones

Ricky Whittle - he was robbed.

Colin Jackson - still the best male celeb ever for me.

I do think Austin and Gethin were mugged by the dance off though...

AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSTIN!!!!!!

(I'm also totally not bitter still... )

Also Colin; an absolutely amazing dancer (technically better than Austin, even though Austin & Erin as a partnership looked more fun) and come on, Darren fricking Gough??

Austin (see Ive remembered his name!) seems to be a clear winner here!

Whilst we're on the subject of : He woz robbed, ever since the rather heated debates of series 5 Ive always imagined that years there will be Gethins fans on their deathbed's still defiantly shouting "Geeeethin was robbed!" some will NEVER let it go!!

Gethin by a country mile. He had the best journey of them all apart from Darren Gough.

Yes there will, and it will be because the public were robbed, by a combination of unfortunate circumstance (Kelly withdrawing) and excess judge manipulation (judges having casting vote with 3 couples as opposed to public which was original intention). This skewed everything in series 5. I think Gethin may well have won if the dance off hadn't leant the judges supreme power. That said, Alesha deserved to win that series. She was the best by some way. Gethin improved by a country mile though and should have contested the final.

T'was a very good year five - the annus mirablis - although this year looks good too although I think the right person won even though it means thanks to some muppet we now have to endure her as a judge (choice of word not accidental).

Either Zoe or Colin should have won series three IMO - slight preference for Zoe only slight.

Austin should have at least made the final of series six - we should have seen his AT it could have been amazing.

Everything else I'm not that bothered about except would have liked to have seen more of Gaby and Spoony.

I think it's an endlessly debatable point and I'm not a big advocate of journeymen (and they are usually men) candidates just because they're journeymen. Matt DA and Gethin were both good and deserved to be in the final - blame lack of contengency for a three person final - as it's the best arguement for them finally getting around to having this year that I've ever seen. I'm not convinced Gethin would have made if it hadn't been for the meddling dance-off (unlike Austin who would have) or gone on to won if he had and it's a very close call about whom out of him and Matt DA was the better dancer - they each had strengths and weaknesses.

Gethin and Austin should both have made the final, and it's thanks to the judges they didn't ...

Beat me to it.

Louisa going out to Emma was a low-blow. I wasted far too much money voting that series (and Rachel's).

I don't care if I'm being melodramatic but I didn't eat or sleep properly for a week after Louisa got knocked out!

I was very disappointed Rachel didn't win, but her loss was easier to swallow because Tom's Showdance was just too good.

Rachel's showdance was a bit naff really, I think my picks are down to Vincent doing an amazing job choreographically with petite, capable dancers.

L & V's jive would be one of my favourite dances if it wasn't for the clunky drag section in the middle.
