I think SCD5 was the trickiest. IMO I thought that Gethin deserved to win it as he'd come the furthest, Alesha deserved it because she'd been the most consistent all series and MDA should also have won it as for me he danced better than Alesha on the night of the final...Pity they couldn't all get a glitterball for that one
![]() Oh, and Austin in SCD6...The final could have been the best yet

Without a doubt my favourite non-winning celebrity is Gethin Jones.

I didnt begrudge Alesha's win that year either - just that it should have been Gethin in the final with her - imo!!

And I agree with you there Chris. MDA shouldn't have been in the final after the fiasco when he forgot two dances and just stopped!

Gethin and Austin should both have made the final, and it's thanks to the judges they didn't ...

Austin...a truly great dancer with personality, quite a rare combo.
Against Tom's showdance, he *probably* wouldn't have won, and I wouldn't have been sore about that but jeez that final would have been a million times better. As it was, I read a book while it was on, the only time I've ever done that with SCD.![]() ![]() As for those wanting the dance off reinstated, one sentence sums up the audience's taste versus the judges' taste. Tom's showdance;Lisa's showdance. His AT could have also been amazing as has been said. ![]() A part of me will always wonder whether Gethin would have won against Alesha. It was unfortunate circumstances, but I will always be sorry that Kelly couldn't go further. |

Austin Healey I agree with the above two celebrities. Plus Ali & Gethin both should have been in the final as every other year there have been three couples. The least the BBC should have done was let Ali & Brian;Gethin & Camilla do a showdance ) Also, Rachel Stevens.Didn't watch the year of "puppetgate" but believe Colin was a great dancer. From what I can gather if Erin was in this year's final and used the puppets she may be onto a winner since props seem to be the order of the day. |

For me, Austin - I threw my dummy right out of the pram that year, and didn't bother watching the final, I was so bitter!
I also think Matt DA should have won against Alesha. Didn't watch the first three years, and was very pleased with Ramps (oh that AT ) and lurved Chris Hollins...

These two for me, too. Louisa should not have gone. Rachel's tango to the Eurythmics is my all-time fave dance on Strictly, closely followed by Louisa's paso doble.

Matt DA, Austin, and though I underrated her at the time, Rachel Stevens. Personality wise Jodie Kidd I wish we'd had her longer!
I also thought it was a bit sh*tty to introduce the dance off on the series 4 semi final, out of nowhere, poor Louisa. There are quite a few really good dancers that didn't even get to the final. |
