As I can't find one, thought would start a thread so people can fill it once we know what dance each couple are doing this week.

Tango (ballroom) or Charleston

Charleston
Kara and Artem (by Twitter)

Tango
Ann and Anton (in the press but don't know if this is rumour, supposition or actual truth)

Sorry if this repeats another thread. I searched 3 pages honestly as I though I had seen one.

Shame it isn't Argentine Tango --- seeing A & A attempt the lifts and fast leg flicks would be real entertainment! [I know..... I'm cruel!]

At the very end of the judges comments I think Katya said to Gavin "we'll do it next week, in the tango, don't worry". Might need a better lip-reader than me...

Ann was mentioned as doing the tango on the radio this morning as well, possibly from the same print source.

Hope Gavin does have the tango - that should suit his poker face a little better.

This is what I think they will do.

Matt and Aliona Charleston (they have done 2 ballroom in a row)

Pamela and James Tango (they have done 2 latin in a row) First time James will have done a tango in the competition.

Ann and Anton Charleston (they have done 2 ballroom in a row)

Gavin and Katya Tango (2 latin in a row)

The others could be either

bib ... really?!

Thanks for that. so if there is 12 it should be 6 and 6 right?

I agree think Ann and Anton doing a Charleston will be even more tv gold than the salsa... and that was so funny I was crying.

Much as it didn't even vaguely resemble it - didn't they do the salsa last week?

I don't think she says Charleston...I'm pretty sure she says 'the chance to'...(put into practise)

Supposedly, but that's open to interpretation!

Just rewatched it and I think you're right, my mistake.

Still think they should do the Charleston though, it'd be funnier than a Tango!

Peter and Erin - Charleston

I'm assuming Ann will be doing the Charleston because I suspect that is the 'special thing' she referred to.

Also she hasn't done two ballroom dances in a row.
She has done Waltz, Salsa and Quickstep.

Wikipedia says she is doing the Tango though so who knows?

I missed it but did Erin/Peter mention their dance?
I missed part of their interview, but I think it must have been the charleston, because Erin was talking about knowing how the celebs feel with doing something different.

So is it that everyone who did a Quickstep will do a Charleston and everyone who did a Rumba will do the Tango?

I'm just a little surprised (and this might be my total ignorance of the quickstep - I feel like all of you that know about dancing will shout at me) that the Quicksteps on Saturday seemed to have a lot of Charleston in them, which seems a strange choice if the pros knew they'd be doing a Charleston a week later.

Charleston steps are traditional in the QS that'll be why.

Well done for identifying any steps in most of the QS's- there wasn't a lot in the majority of them (gosh now I sound like Grumpy Len!)

Ahh well yes, umm, that was me.....

Was I the only person who had heard that she confirmed about the tango on the radio today?

Saying that tho', a WiddyCharleston would be TV Gold!

Thanks. Fair enough. Can I ask then have the Quickstep and Charleston couples got a slight built-in advantage because they are dancing in a similar style to last week so they should be able to learn the dance quicker? Or does that simply depend on how the pros choreograph it? I can't help feeling the rumba and tango people have a more difficult draw as they've got all the acting to do.

eta: I've posted that and then thought it's probably unanswerable.
