Is there any suggestion that it will be? We had charleston and jive last year.

Would you prefer no jive, being as you are TALL, and therefore are genetically disadvantaged in the jive?

I can't imagine them cutting one of the traditional 5 latin dances, especially as Jive is so entertaining and challenging for the couples. I haven't heard anything either way, but I'm assuming it will just come a little later in the series.

If being tall is a disadvantage, the jive could be Ann's dance

The Jive wasn't until week 5 last year and I hope they don't drop it.

It's not likely to be next week seeing as the Charleston is this week, but it's not the only dance which hasn't featured yet:

Jive
Samba
Paso Doble
American Smooth
Viennese Waltz

and of course Argentine Tango

and possibly the Lindyhop and/or Rock n Roll? I hope not, but you never know.....

I'm sure they aren't going to miss jive out - it's a popular dance with viewers.
I think when I counted just now there is still room for them to fit in all the dances with those couples reaching the final doing all of them. As Charleston has been put up against a ballroom and not rock n roll this year, I'm assuming that RnR hasn't stayed in the dance line-up.

hmm, im not sure about why they picked the charleston tbh, i dont mind new dances but i would have prefered the mambo !, or even the lambada and i also like the bolero. i dont think they will get rid of the jive though

Ann and Anton would definitely get knocked out that week!

According the Radio Times website the jive is one of a rather large number to dances to feature on 30th October.

Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly host a Halloween special, in which the 11 remaining couples perform either a jive, paso doble, Viennese waltz or Argentine tango with a spooky twist.

I knew about the other 3 but didn't think they were throwing jive in there too!!

And a spooky twist???? We really are going DWTS. I for one don't want to see a spooky twist in either a Viennese Waltz or an Argentine Tango - it's almost sacrilege!

Some of those AT's could be rather car crash. They've never had it this early before.

Wonder if they'll give it to a few of the people who have regularly been near the top of the leaderboard? Presumably there won't be more than 2 or 3 of them....

oh for goodness sake. I might switch off in protest at themed dances
Each dance has a character, it doesn't need any more gimmicks this series. You can't have a spooky viennese waltz - it is about dreamy swirling round the floor - think Austria, huge skirted dresses, society balls. That jars badly with ghost and ghouls or whatever else they've dreamed up. Actually none of the dances are meant to be spooky

I don't think it's a very good idea to have the AT so early. That said it was on DWTS early this year too and there were two very good ones (well, one good and one absolutely fanbloodytastic).

right lol. it looks to me that i am the only one who is um rather excited about the halloween thing :P.

i like the traditional dances, but i think that its good that they are experiment. i mean comeone people they aren't going to be coming out dressed as mummy's, witches and werewolves are they.

at the most its going to be dark colours, and dark moody song and songs like thriller ect. i think that it could be quite good and the dances that they have chosen are all ones that will fit very well.

Just have to ask, how can a jive be spooky?

I don't think it can, neither can a VW or AT!

Ann Widdicombe and inadequate bust support.
