Apologies in advance if this topic has already been covered

I haven't noticed as many celebs in the audience this year and they haven't done any "celeb" behind the scenes interviews either, have the BBC finally decided to let ordinary folk have the seats instead of packing loads of hangers on in!

Wel I saw Debbie McGee at least 44 times , with her smile painted on for the occasion .Not that that really an indication of celebrity as such .

They should only be allowed the best seats once. If they want to come again they should queue like everyone else and take whatever seat is available .

I was going to start a thread about this! I hate to say this but I actually miss seeing celebs popping up in the audience. I don't mind them being there as long as they have a reasonable link to a celeb involved, if they are a friend or close colleague or whatever. It was when complete randomers like Gloria Hunniford suddenly appeared that I started to get frustrated. (I know she's being a contestant but it was many series ago and a ridiculous excuse to blag a ticket!)

It used to be a cse of who wasn't there wasn't it. PM for you Vikki

I know this is OT - but does anyone else think it is very rude of the PTB not to invite Chris back to dance. He is the reigning champion and it is as if they are trying to airbrush him from strictly altogether.

He deserves better than that - after all we did get lumbered with Lisa Snowdon in the final last year

I spotted that guy from the inbetweeners, the one who plays simon.

Looking at some old series' videos on Youtube, there were many celebs in the audiences who turned up dancing in later series'

I miss the celebs in the audience too..more the opinions bit on ITT than audience spotting......though I'm wondering if some may be seated up on the balconies where we never get to see.

Tess called Ann, Gloria (Hunniford) at one point in the 3rd dancing week performance! haha

Stephen Tompkinson has been there several times, I suspect he's on the wanted list, but filming stuff like WIld at Heart probably gets in the way of the schedule.

I was looking forward to seeing him and Ola again, but like you say its as if they are trying to forget he ever took part in the show!

Which for some of us is a bit of a relief

There's been very little about the celeb's families too so far too - you usually get shots of them reacting to the judges. Maybe they're just waiting until the field gets whittled down a bit and they need to fill more time on ITT.

I thought he might be there as he's going out with Kara Tointon's sister Hannah, but that is quite a tenuous link.

Someone must've kidnapped Bradley Branning!!
He must be the one I've spotted most over the years.
Was he an uber fan or sadsack with no social life, I could never decide

I miss those two
Who would dare make a bad comment with them around

Tess spoiled it though by referring to them as that (and saying it was Rachel who mentioned it ) - the expressions on their faces were priceless

Yes they normally speak to some of the relatives backstage after the show as well don't they and show little bits on the results show? We haven't seen any of that yet either have we?

Yes I remember all the interviews with Ramp's wife and two lovely daughters. Sadly they are now divorced although at the time she seemed to adore him. It must have been awful for her when his girlfriend when to the media about their long affair and she had to face the Strictly cameras!!!!!

I heard that Ant and Dec are usually in the audience at some point during the early part of the series (before they go off to do I'm A Celeb) as Ant is married to Lisa Armstrong who does the hair and make-up on Strictly.

You never get to see them though as they are ITV and BBC don't want to show their rivals!
