Off topic but about strictly so i'll spoiler it in case people haven't seen the results

Just been watching Strictly. Whatever happened to the dance off?

Talking of dance/sing offs: the old Strictly dance off actually meant something. Did the OTR sing off? I suspect not. I think it was just drama, with the good Lord's mind already made up.

I know the dance off has gone What idiots the BBC are! And as for the Lord I'm not sure! I think the sing off always meant something unless he couldn't make his mind up i.e. Bronte and Lauren. However, Steph and Stephanie, Stephanie should have won that sing off but ultimately Steph dealt with the situation better and performed better in the sing off and so changed ALW's mind

Off Topic: Dance off has been removed mainly it seems because they want this show to resemble the US version. Which i would hate because its nowhere near as good imo. Plus there has been some controversy over the dance off at times.

On Topic: At times I do wonder if ALW actually had his mind made up before the sing off. I think that before Stephanie crumbled in her sing off, she would have been favourite in ALW eyes to stay but as soon as she done that it made him reconsider if she was ready for the palladium.

ultimately Stephanie probably wasn't ready. I think if she hadn't crumbled that week she would have been Danielle's toughest competition! Ahhh it was all a plot!!

Both on and off topic: there is a difference between Strictly and OTR. When Ramps won Strictly, he was still a cricketer, not a dancer. When Dan won OTR, she became a star performer overnight.

What is the point of my digression? Well, the good Lord would have been silly to base his decision on the sing off alone. He has invested millions in his production. Whereas in Strictly, I think the judges did try to put past performances out of their minds.

Just a thought.

Thats the key difference between OTR and SCD. There was a life changing opportunity at the end of OTR and some pressure riding on the actual winner. WOO wont just end after 6 months if it gets bad reviews, it will continue (most likely) for at least 2 years.

SCD is just an entertainment competition where normally the people champion wins not always the best dancer. Its more about progression than talent but the judges do overmark heavily at times especially when the favourites do a bad dance, they overmark to keep them in. I do think its farcical at times eg John Sargent because if he had not of quit he most likely could of won it, same with Ann this year only I dont think she will quit. The fact that there was no dance off last series in the semi final also farcical (BBC wanted chris to win and he did).

Yes, SCD is a bit of fun. It would be a farce if Widdo won, but who cares? She will still be a politician. Whereas there are jobs riding on WoO being a success - which, with Dan starring, I am sure it will be.

I hate the new SCD results format, they're totally copying the Dancing with the stars crap. I don't mind that they took away the dance off, it's just the way the results is being done in sections which is soooo annoying. I like it all in one big lump.


It looked like she was singing live, but not too sure whether it was throughout the whole song or just when she's not dancing. I think she's a better dancer than singer.
The miming in the X Factor group song and by Michael Buble was so blatant it was ridiculous. Only on a Simon Cowell show the acts will mime, not on a ALW show! The Dorothies deserve gold medals for doing at least 5 songs a show with live singing and dancing.

Okay, so I had a dream about the WoO last night!!

I got to london, met up with the mafia.. we arrived at the palladium and then the show started (pretty normal) we were all majorly excited, but then the show went on, we were all invited up to act/sing with Danielle and the rest of the cast, and the audience thought we were part of the cast cause we knew every word and line haha! It was so fun. not long til the show now!!
