Nope I have school But I have quite a bit of work Parents evening tomorrow night which sucks but last ever one which is quite exciting!

The funny thing is that, I consider the ALW shows much more "great TV" than the Idol/X-Factor shows!

For me, great TV is real talent, great performances, and judges who actually care about the contestants. All the bad auditions and sensationalism of the other shows gets really old after a while.

There is a paradox here. The primary aim of OTR was not to produce great TV. And yet, almost because of this, it WAS great TV!

Been reading comments on YouTube and saw this interesting one on Danielle's OTR from the Palladium about her hittiing the C in her chest voice. She explains:
'why oh why can't I' the big note in the end is a c. on the finale she always hit in her head voice but now she belted like it should be done.

I have no clue about all these chest/head voice business, so it's kinda interesting for me.
Also, that arrangement of OTR at the Palladium is a lot, lot slower than the studio version, never really noticed this until I started making a OTR mash-up vid, wanted to sync it all to the studio version but that's not gonna happen.

Ok, Mafia I'm gonna list Danielle's OTR's and you pick your favourite 'why, oh why, can't I' ending for my OTR mash-up vid. Majority wins. (I'm doing this coz I can't decide on the ending one)

I just listened to all three, and by a cool coincidence I managed to click to the exact right spot on the first one. My vote, though, is for the Palladium performance.

I think they got progressively better with each performance but my favourite is the Palladium one. It just seems so effortless.

Ciao mafia. I echo the view of others: Palladium rules ok! And it's a lot to do with the last note. I like the final note to be as dramatic as possible, and Dan was at her best in the Palladium in that respect.

I can never think of the final note without thinking of poor Emilie's abject failure in that department.

Baby, I'm with you about this head/chest stuff. I know ALW mentioned it but it's all Greek to me. Talking of Greece - come back Roberto!

OTR version is my favorite. The Palladium performance is still my least favorite. She is completely into character which is great, but i don't really like the way she sings it.

Interesting question. I'm slightly torn between the this morning version and the palladium version. I think the this morning performance has the edge for me but seeing as everyone apart from snowy went with the palladium version i'll also vote for the palladium They all sound amazing anyway

I mostly posted it here because it's something for us to talk about.
On the forum we could do a poll with all the different versions of OTR that Danielle has done which is 5, I think.

I wonder what her Royal Variety one will be like.
