I'll add Denis Brown's version of The Long and Winding Road.
And the version of Jailhouse Rock in The Blues Brothers
Eric Clapton's version of 'Cocaine' isn't better than the original but it's as good.
Songs like "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" and "Whiskey in the Jar" should have been left with Chuck Berry and Thin Lizzy.
And "It's a Man's World" could only be sung by the late, great James Brown.
