Connecting Cowon J3 to HiFi?

Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect a Cowon J3 to a hifi system using phono input leads? I can't seem to find anything that's specifically mentioned that will do this.

You just use any old bog standard 3.5mm stereo jack to twin phono plug lead.

Plug the headphone out of the J3 to an AUX IN or whatever on the HiFi and Robert is your Father's brother as they say

Thanks. Tried that but the volume is very low and there's a bit of hum on it as well. I was hoping there might be a way of connecting via a USB to phono connector, if such a thing exists.

If you did manage to find a USB to phono lead then be prepared to blow your speakers!

USB is a digital data exchange connector, not an analogue audio connector. So a simple lead would never work. There would have to be a shed load of electronics in the way. And that assumes the Cowon actually can stream audio via USB. If not then it could get very messy.

The headphone jack to phono lead should just work. Stupid question but you have tried adjusting the volume on the Cowon? If you have the volume turned right down then obviously it will be quiet.
