Which egghead would you like to see on SCD?

Daphne sometimes apologises to her opponent before giving the correct answer, this annoys me - I always hope she'll be wrong, she never is though

ha ha I love this thread as I too only watch the last few minutes of Eggheads and only once a year when ITT is on just after ! CJ bugs me too and i agree about Daphne's smiling. Judith seems the one is the most humble.

I just want to slap CJ or shout at him to [b]SHUT UP! His reaction when he thinks someone is going to say the wrong answer drives me bananas! If he left wouldn't miss him at all - and I might watch more often!

Ah I love this thread, it's hilarious. I used to watch all the time but my Mum got fed up with it. She thinks the Eggheads get given easier questions and Dermot prompts them in the answers with the tone of his voice!
I just like playing along and seeing how many questions I can answer correctly from both teams. Then again sometimes I just want to shout at the people answering the questions.
The other week the classic example was
Dermot/Jeremy: 'what Disney Film does Can you Feel the love Tonight come from?' Lion King, Beauty and the Beast or Aladdin.
Contestant: well it's definitely not the Lion King
(at which point my head hit the table).........

Also to speculate on how often CJ will get called to do the first head-to-head; whether Daphne will get picked for sport...and then promptly answer all correctly and admit that she loves sport; whether Chris will get picked for entertainment/film and tv or however it is that they have rearranged the categories as he freely admits to not watching it. Oh and whether they will pick Kevin for film and tv and then discover he is a complete film buff.

I hate the egg heads so much and I am only basing this on the 5 mins I watch of it waiting for ITT. I have only seen that bit.
'The Eggheads have done what comes naturally to them' , that CJ one looks so smug.

It really annoys me when the presenter goes 'whoever will beat you' and then ' £6000 pounds says they don't.
Even if they have on the odd occasion been beaten, he still goes 'who will beat you £1000 pounds says they don't'

So so smug it really winds me up.

I am trying work out now when to switch over to avoid it now because it annoys me so much.

How come they always seem to lose on the very last question as well the competitors? it seems to happen every time.

That should have a Department of Health warning on it - I've just had my lunch!

On the subject of SCD taking them on, Claudia could give them a run for her money if she could go up against them an arts subject, she has a Master's degree in Historty of Art from Cambridge. They could also borrow Karina Smirnoff from DWTS, she has a degree in economics and computing.

Jeremy admonished CJ for miss pronouncing Connaught , Ireland , and went on to correct CJ and mispronunced it himself by a mile .In fact CJ was much closer to the right way .

Daphne is my irritant , the false little old lady smile , all sweetness and gentleness , and under it all a steely and rigid determination and a massive desire to win .
Coupled with the need of a review of her false teeth and a dab of fixodent

Daphne got a question wrong tonight Can't remember the exact question, but it was about musical theatre and she looked very smug and answered 'Lionel Blair' when the answer was Lionel Bart!

Eggheads still won though.

I might be thinking of someone else, but I think CJ actually has done WL, and was voted off first and launched into a huge rant about it. He was then on a WL special for sore losers

I seriously hate this programme, but my mother is obsessed. I guess she's not the only one that can't stand Daphne, though!

I watch eggheads even though i am willing the contestants to win all the time - CJ is an irritation to me he is just soooo smug especially when he thinks the question is too easy and he rolls his eyes up to heaven in a kind of 'ask me something difficult' kind of way.

Dont like Chris - he needs a hair cut and a stylist - the rest are ok.
