In order for an album to get a Christmas No.1 when do people have to buy the album?
I have heard Mariah might be releasing a Christmas album and I want to do my part in helping it get christmas no.1 album this year
But I'm a bit confused. When do people have to buy the album in order for it to be a contender for a Christmas No.1? Would it be Christmas Week? And when is the christmas no.1 album announced. I'm really confused so please do tell me! Thank You

Christmas Day is on a Saturday. So you'd have to buy it anytime from Sunday the 12th to Saturday the 18th, in order for it to chart on Sunday the 19th.

So am I right in saying, people would go out it and buy it from the 12th of December to the 18th of December?

So am I right in saying, people would go out it and buy it from the 12th of December to the 18th of December? ![]() For example, Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars is the best-selling song at the moment, however, it is Forget You by Cee-Lo Green which is #1, because it was the best-selling song during the previous week. So, to be Christmas #1, you need to sell the most copies the previous week, and the sales weeks for the charts begin on Sunday, and end on Saturday. |
