After finally seeing the programme today, I can see she won't go far.

In all the tasks, she always manages to get to smooth hands admin, without truly understanding what manpower is when getting something concrete done, in this case the pastries.

You can't promise heaven to customers without reflecting on manpower capacity to get orders done.

While Shibbi was indeed a bad project manager, I felt Paloma's out of touch with reality and agressiveness are not the qualities you want your employee to have.

Her dimishing manner towards Shibbi in the board-room was upsetting to see, she thinks she is more superior than anyone there.

Plus she lied on his faceon the boardroom, when they were reporting to LS on Sandeesh performance.

Certainly double-faced characters are not the best for honest business...

I say hope she gets OUT ASAP !!!

On another note, how good impression Liz is making each time, that girl has some intelligence apart from looks, I would hire her right now I think

What I meant admin work where your hands dont get dirty...

I remember people commenting she always tried to avoid practical work, so in one task she was just taking pcitures as opposed to carrying heavy sand bags, and in this task she was on the visits to customers as opposed to being working in the factory.

She certainly got my goat promising the moon on a stick to the customer, without a single thought for exactly how the moon was to be delivered on said stick.
But thats the problem with saleswomen like Paloma - they get their sales figures and if the back room boys 'n girls can't deliver then its clearly their fault for being lazy.

Shibby was culpable there too, though. And when he did grasp that they couldn't deliver any more, Paloma was right to point out aftewards that his manner to the potential clients had been very poor.

I think it's true that she thinks herself much better than she is, and I don't think she's likely to win, as Sugar has indicated he's seen that. But it would have been wrong to have fired her this week, and she does look lovely so I hope she's around for a while yet.

Paloma is confident and owns herself, which is misinterpreted as aggressive. As for that sales pitch, well why did they bother going, if not to sell anything?

Plus I like her accent.

Heh, you just castigated people for fancying Shibby on the other thread, you hypocrite!

I also find Paloma too aggressive, and also a bit two-faced. I'm not a fan, personally. She might make a good business person, but I doubt she'll slot comfortably into Lord Sugar's organisation.

As I have said on another thread. LS said they wont see you again. So take as many orders as you can, and only fulfil the most profitable ones. I cant see why you are castigating her for taking orders she cant fill. It doesnt seem to be all or nothing. One forgets that Shibby did say he got on with her.
That she gets away without getting her hands dirty, is usually considered a good point in managing. That she can get others to do her 'dirty work'.

She was like this last night too.

I wonder if she's the one who is told "you've talked your way out of this" or has that already been shown?

I think if she's PM one week that's when she'll go I don't think she'll be a good PM she won't get the support of her team!

Paloma is terrifying but the best candidate. I expect that AS will keep her in if possible.
She has no qualms about other people's feelings and stays focused and unemotional.
Probably perfect for clinching ruthless business deals.

How can you say that when she's told at least 2 major porkies, a against shibby in the boardroom then last night prenteding that she was about to propose exclusivity in order to get the deal when she hadn't and wasn't going to and even if she did, that would have been totally unfair and out of order as she was stopping the other 2 from having a chance of getting an order.

Far too fiery as well, I really hope she blows her top and gets fired for it.

How can she be the best candidate?

She has the interpersonal skills of a car park!!
She thinks charm is something you wear on a bracelet.

I'm really looking forward to her being PM soon.

She'll either be very good or very bad, depending on her motivational skills.

No shades of grey with the lady.

Yeah, and it's mostly men making this claim What a surprise. Let's shoot the confident woman who dares to stand up for herself, blah, blah, blahhh!

Paloma is using to working on her own as opposed to trailing a bunch of bickering whining kids behind her. It's clear she is appalled by their stupidity and hamstrung by this demand that they 'share' everything so that the idiots can ride on the back of the smarter competitors.

The 'sales' are not real in that the whole thing is staged and it is dog eat dog. No wonder they all panic.

I'd take Paloma and Stella over any of the other girls because both are bright and confident. Put them in the right spot and they will shine. I also like the army guy whose name I can't recall - Christopher?

Paloma would hate working for Lord Sugar. Match made in hell. He's a die-hard bully. None if his apprentices stay with him. Have you not noticed? I'll watch her with pleasure until she goes. She doesn't need him.

As for you sad saps drooing over her. In your dreams!

What I like about Paloma is that she does not discriminate....she will argue with male and female candidates!

She hasn't exactly covered herself in glory yet. The botched deal last night was appalling, a basic mistake that you wouldn't tolerate from a rookie.
She has twice blatantly lied in the boardroom.

I would like to see her as a PM next week.....but i think she will fail as she is overtly aggressive with people, which is a poor quality in any people manager, her 'Talk to the hand' attitude will not see her win this competition, there are other far stronger female candidates.
