How soon is too soon for Christmas songs?
I know this is is about music but its also rooted in premature celebration of Chistmas so think its best rooted in General Discussion.
I'm listening to Fairytale of New York and admit to listening to a Christmas song when I was in Turkey in August. Is mid-October too soon for Christmas songs? |

I have already watched The Snowman three times already.......never too early to get in the Chrsitmas spirit. Just keep very very quiet about it.

I think that once Hallowe'en is over, then it is perfectly acceptable to sing Christmas songs.

I've watched Santa Clause and had Phil Spector's Chrimble Motown CD on the player since last weekend. Never too soon.

The annual 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' advert has already been played on the radio. I am not sure what the advert is advertising as I tune out mentally when it's on.

I am currently watching 'Love Actually' which I consider a Christmas film - love it. I will be playing the music in a couple of weeks. Cannot wait.

Loathed as I am to agree with Rigby I agree with Rigby. No Xmas anything whatsoever until December at the earliest. We don't need a quater of the year to gear up for one over the top, consumerist celebration of gluttony and excess.

![]() No, OP, it's not too, early. In fact, I'm thinking National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, might be in order tonight.

You agree with me.....well that's a first. ![]() I read that the last quarter of the year is when most retail shops make most of their money. |
