I usually have mine on aperture priority too.

I often leave my camera on the full auto setting when I put it down though, just in case I want to pick it up quickly and take a snap. A couple of times I've picked it up to take a quick snapshot, only to discover I've left it on some insane setting the night before, ISO1600, +2EV, 2 second shutter speed or something like that!

Same on mine (Sony Alpha), Program allows you to amend darned near anything .... and manual flash selection is handy (hate the flash popping up sometimes).

Switching to manual focus can be similarly handy, its either that or central focusing, otherwise the camera has a habit of not quite focusing on what I want ....

With the early darkness at the moment, I feel like starting to take some sunset shots on clear days.

Do you guys have any photography websites you recommend where they discuss techniques for different situations? Websites that aren't forums that is.

www.cambridgeincolour.com has some excellent tutorial articles covering just about all aspects of photography, both practical and theoretical.
