i was wondering are they going to have the american smooth this year because with the increasing out of hold time in the dances i noticed quite alot (im not moaning about it)

so i was wondering are they going to have it again ?, because technically it doesn't have to be foxtrot based len said last series it can be any ballroom dance..

anyone know ?

I think they will, yes all the dances can have lifts in now, so it maybe seems like they'll repeat a dance but there's that whole 'holliwood pizazz' side of it that can be argued you won't necessarily get in the other dances.

Did you get the above statement from SCD? If correct how many more rules of Ballroom and Latin are they going to discard before SCD beomes a joke and a parody of what Ballroom and Latin dancing is about.

i dont think they are actually allowed lifts but say if both feet slightly came off the floor for a split second they arent so fussy.

That is what I have read on here, that this year they are allowed to put lifts in all the dances. Apologies if I've got that wrong.

As far as I can see hardly any of the pros have done so though which is telling!

I expect the American Smooth and the samba will be on the week after Halloween. After this weekend the only ballroom dances left will be VW and AS and the VW is for Halloween.
