I think its better to let AS choose from the entire losing team which one(s) should get fired rather than narrowing it down to just 3 of them.

Too often, the PM brings in the people who turned on them, or was the last one to turn on them and that person may not deserve to be bought back, or the PM chooses whoever is the easiest target, easiest to pick off who doesn't deserve to go.

On the other hand, sometimes the other 2 join forces to turn on the PM who doesn't deserve to go and AS does decide to fire the PM because of that, so they should change it that their isn't a final 3.

AS should ask the PM who they think deserves to go and he makes a decsion from their.

They spend loads of time in the boardroom anyway, much more than what we see, so surely they should change and should have done ages ago?

I think it works fine as it is.

For me it's a major part of the game to see who the PM brings back. It's a chance for them to show they understand why they failed and who was responsible. It's a major benefit of being PM to be able to pick the two weaker than you. Sometimes it is a bad choice here which leads to them being fired. For example, if Laura had not brought Joy back, she might have been fired herself last week.

But whats wrong with the PM pointing out who should be sacked from the entire team rather than just 2?

But he does! He says X didn't pull their weight, and Y was disruptive... and then he chooses who to bring back, which logically would be X and Y. I don't get it - are you saying they should be able to bring in more people?

I actually think they should be able to bring in fewer if they want. It might be much more effective if they just bring back one person who has been disruptive or responsible for the loss of the task somehow - and the PM said "it's simply X who was at fault, for all these reasons. Them or me, you choose." - it would avoid situations where PMs are asked why they brought someone back and can't justify it - then it makes them look weak.

I think it's because it just makes better telly and more conflict by making the project manager pick their two potential "sackees"
And allows more time for them to all fight and argue with each other providing gold dust for the producers.

Choosing from the entire team does make it more interesting - it certainly provided a brilliant climax for the Marrakech episode. But I think unless there's going to be another episode as dramatic as the one I mentioned, I don't think we'll be seeing that system employed any time soon.

Having three people taken back in makes more sense because AS can say he's narrowing it down to the people most responsible - on TV, at least. The only time he may scrap this system is if candidates are abusing it - like Jenny C intimidating Kevin not to bring her back over the environment cards.

That's actually a good example of how the PM's decision on who to bring in reveals much about them. Kevin would probably have been fired anyway as he'd been a very poor PM, but his failure to pick up on Sugar's hints about who to bring in (Sugar was very clear that he thought Jenny much to blame and that he wasn't fooled by the attempts to scapegoat Sara) ensured his downfall.

In one season in the American version, the PM had a choice to being in either 2 other people or 3 other people, which is pretty interesting because picking an extra person would lower your own chances of being fired slightly, but would really piss off 1 person when you might not have needed to.

But either way, I definitely think the PM should be given a choice.. it just think it makes for better telly.

I would have it that if the PM wants to bring more back to the board room they can but would have to have proper reasons to do so

If they can't think of just two people who should be fired instead of the, they deserve to be fired.

But sometimes i have watched the show and thought of 3 + the PM who deserve to be sent back this is where my idea would come in
