How easy to repair (W890i)

Got an old 'phone I still like and hate my Nokia 5530 so I was thinking of going back to the W890i until I can afford a new 'phone.

The problem is the back (battery cover) isn't particularly secure.

When I flick the switches one corner is still very slightly loose. If I apply a tiny amount of pressure I can flip the back off since it doesn't appear to be 'latched' on properly.

I've inspected the 'latches' but visually they don't look like they are long enough. I am unsure if maybe on that side the latch has snapped off.

I have seen on eBay whole housings. How easy are they to fit and should I bother?

I really like the 'phone and it does everything I possibly want from a mobile but the loose back just irks me.

I have tried replacement backs but they have only highlighted the fact that the latches don't seem to grip over the bits on the back enough.
