I really hope its Rihanna, her song is so much better

Unfortunately it will probably be Cheryl because she's performing on the X Factor. I think Rihanna will be performing in November.

Disappointing because Only Girl deserves to be No.1 and wipes the floor with Promise This Imo.

Pretty much what the above poster said, unfortunately Cheryl even though Rihanna's single is far superior.

I much prefer Only Girl to Promise This. Cheryl will get number one because of her performance, and her piers interview this weekend.

I'd want Rihanna to win even if Cheryl had a better song

I just dont like Cheryl as a solo artist and I want her to fail

cheryl will win even though rihanna's song is so much better can cheryl do anything without the x factor its blatantly obvious she needs its exposure >:

Her pre-prepared tears (and tissues) will take her to no.1 in chart

I'd be great if they both flopped because they're both crap. However, they'll both do well and Princess Cheryl will get to number 1 after the X-Factor and Simon saying "that... was... FANTASTIC" *roars of cheers from the sheeple crowd*

I agree. Such a pity Rihanna isn't on X Factor too.

No one will be buying Mrs Cowell's for the song or the vocal that's for sure.

Yeah because Rihanna's songs sell for the vocal?

I prefer Cheryl's song personally.

I prefer Only Girl, but neither of the songs are particularly great.

She won't be once Cheryl performs

Cheryl will be number 1 this week i'd say and Rihanna the week after.

Rihanna needs a number one to rid herself of the number 2 curse she gets due to bad release dates

In regards to the chart battle, Cheryl Cole will most likely win.
Personally i don't rate the song at all, but hey she has a quite a large fan base in the UK, plus The X Factor is backing her.

Rihanna so can sing!!!!! :O i am shocked some have stated this here actually, her voice is very unique in it's tone! not shouty or screamy or tuneless but has a weight to it! and i friggin' love her!!!

Only Girl is a huge anthem! and although i love it Cheryl's will get to #1 with no effort at all, her controversies the past few weeks, media 'backlash' X Factor EVERYWHERE, live shows performance, and Piers interview and airplay! along with her fanbase and endorsements it's just guaranteed Cheryl will get it!

and while i am NO Cheryl fan, i do love X Factor for it's entertainment value and the contestants this year have/are fantastic bunch i must say.

Hope Riri performs next month to promote LOUD and her follow up single of that time! love Russian ROulette last year, it was a very dark and moody shocase of a performance and damn i loved it!

Cheryl is just.................

I do love both songs. I think I prefer Rihanna's song, but I think it would be a bit funny if she gets another #2.

Seriously, even Love the Way You Lie couldn't get #1 in the UK!

Her Hero cover ages ago was horrific but she was a teen back then soo...

She really has improved though, I understand why her voice may be a hit or miss. Also, as Josh rightly said.. atleast the girl sings live

Rihanna's track is farrrrrrrrr superior to Chery's dross of a single.
