Cheryl will obviously win because of her fanbase - the ludicrous sales of the boring Fight For This Love proves it. Simon obviously realises this or he wouldn't dare put Rihanna against her.

And as Carmen said @ #8, Cheryl will obviously get the shamelessly false, gushing praise from Simon, and the subsequent rapturous cheering from the audience who are dumb enough to believe everything he tells them, which will encourage more viewers to go and buy it.

Then of course the media will make a big fuss about Cheryl winning 'the battle for no.1' against Rihanna and make it out to be 'another great achievement' Just you watch.

i actually hate cheryl cole but i sort of like the song would like it even more if she wasnt singing it. i like rihannas song and hope that will be number 1. what is the radio playlist like is cheryl cole liked my radio cos maybe x factor cant help her get ot number 1 if none of the radio statios play her song like veery 10 mins

Rihanna may not have the strongest voice but she has improved so much since she's first started. I think she sounds good live. Also I'm glad she sings live all the time, I'm not here for suspect pre-recored live vocals.

And i think Rihanna has a strong voice. No Beyonce type voice but her voice has improved a hell of a lot within her last two albums. It's unique and you know it's her. Her accent reflects upon it.

if Cheryl sang ANY of Rihanna's songs she'd struggle i think! Rihanna has a range, although many people wouldn't find her voice to their tastes (probably go for more commercial styles) Rihanna always conveys emotion in her song styles!

Cheryl ALWAYS sounds bored on the songs, there's no Madonna or Gwen Stefani crispness to her voice or range, there's no Florence Welch or Bjork or Annie Lennox power to her voice.

Cheryl cannot sound anything other than monotonous, i don't dislike her at all! i just find that music image so false! but am watching her on Piers now and i think she's a lovely lady but her music is NOT my style really!
