Two Vision boxes off one hub?
Hi,
Just wanted to know how one can get two Vision boxes to run off the same hub. I know BT Technical tell you you can't, but I know I've read on here there is a way to do it, without hacking a box, which I would never do anyway. I use my main box via powerline adapters. If I can, the second box would be hard-wired into the hub itself. If this is possible, are there any restrictions placed on either box? ie cannot use record on one of them ect ect. Thanks in advance. |

You can't run two hubs ( or any other type of BB modem) on the same line at the same time.

From the links looks like only one id for each STB will work at one time for a subscription, also BT will want to ensure a good quality of service, when fibre Infinity with more bandwidth is more rolled out then looks like they might have a multiroom set service!
Otherwise means 2 lines, 2 hub routers, 2 broadband and 2 Vision subscriptions which can work out expensive! If you have Infinity you could check with BT Vision if they are going to allow multiroom sets on the same line if there is enough bandwidth? |
