They're instantly catchy so people will download them. I wonder if people still listen to them as much as they used to.
I also think they're pretty rubbish.

Nah, it's not that simple. People might just kind-of-almost-like it because they heard it once on the radio it and still buy it, usually on iTunes or some other download service. Music is more throwaway than ever before.
