Quick question about the credit check on Three

Hi,

I just wondered if Three give you an instant decision online like Orange do?

Or, do you have to wait for an email to arrive a day or so later like you do on O2?

When I took out a contract with "free" phone with 3, a few months ago, I believe I got an instant decision.

Aren't 3 somewhat more liberal than other networks when it comes to their credit checks? They are much more desperate for customers, so it wouldn't be surprising if they are more accepting than others.

I placed my order at 11am this morning and it seems to have gone through okay. I've received an email to say they have received my order, but nothing to say whether or not I have yet to pass the credit check.

I guess no news is good news, maybe?

I ordered on a weekday, I don't know whether that changes anything.

I do remember calling up to cancel my order only a couple of hours later, and I was told it was not possible because they were about to dispatch the phone.

I'm on a Sim Only plan, rather than a contract as such.

During the ordering there was no mention of a credit check or anything, and the sim arrived within 2 days

Just rung them. I was advised that the credit check would not be done until Monday. He told me Saturday's orders are done on Monday morning and Sunday's orders are done on Monday afternoon.

I've just recently got an iPhone on 3, never had contract before, ordered online and it seemed fine and received the phone in 2 days.

I entered my details and it said would do a credit check, but never said any problems so I just presumed it was ok.
