How tragic that your virgin thread is so pointless. If you don't want to be flamed, don't be so nasty

I don't think it is so much nervousness, but merely an affectation. She was on The One Show yesterday, each time she put her hands to her face, and she did often, she seems to have the hands of someone older than 62, they are so very wrinkly and somehow at odds with her face. They do say that no matter how much you have done to your face. the hands always give the game away when it comes to age.

I find myself not listening to a word she is saying, but trying to fathom out this woman and why she thinks she needs the gurning, scrunching of the nose, lip licking and hair flicking. ”

the neck and hands always give away a persons true age, no matter how much work theyve had done on their face :S

The OP is entitled to his opinion and I see nothing nasty is saying what you see .

some of the best still get nervous enought and throw up before going on - once into the act they are okay

I think you are the one being rude. OP is perfectly entitled to their opinion. Stop being such a troll

What do I say...?

Thank-you for proving my concern was genuine?

I thought it was because of cosmetic surgery gone wrong.

So first you ask me why I posted in this thread and then you tell someone else who feels the thread is unpleasant they are a troll? You are very quick to defend the OP's opinion but also very quick to quash anything you don't agree with. Double standards or what?

I don't think she's had any surgery to be honest. On our HD 52" television you can see every line on her face and arms. Her skin looks every bit it's age ( 64 years ) close up, but from a distance she looks great.

Felicity Kendal went down the non-surgical route by using Botox injections, reacting with outrage when it was reported that a plastic surgeon had "outed" her as one of his patients.

I can see how the nose and mouth twitching might annoy some viewers though. But I guess I could pick out annoying habits or traits in all the contestants.”

Good point - just what I have been saying

This week on ITT I noticed that she looked like she's been bruised in the middle of her forehead during one of the training scenes. When she was shown in the studio I thought she looked markedly less lined than on previous occasions. Perhaps she'd had a "top-up" during the week to counter some of the less flattering comments in the media and on ds.

I, quite frankly find your comments amusing and yet also angering. We are not the bullies...we are not running around telling people what to do and what not to do in retrospect...It's just that there are a great number of fans of Felicity Kendal here at DS, and considering the amount of comments/threads that have been created about her, calling her Facelifty...Horrible...Smug...Snooty...Up herself...that is cruel and bullying, we are merely tired of the abuse, be happy, sure have an opinion, but don't be cruel about things, we aren't the bullies (based on previous comments about Flick). And people are going on and on about her mannerisms, when all 14 celebrities have mannerisms that annoy...Just come to grips about them and get over it, no need to call her names like a little child?!?

So no, sofakat, we aren't bullying, we are actually sticking up for a 65-yr-old woman, who hasn't had any dance experience and is throwing herself into the spotlight of 15-20million SCD fans around the globe and trying her best to dance well, and the snide comments are tiresome. That is all, and to add, you have opinions and display them, so do we and we've displayed them and your saying that...What difference?

Flissity has always done the 'girlish' RADA starlet number. The problem is the wind changed and she stayed that way. Oops.

Nervous? Not on your nellie. Backbone of steel and rampant competitive streak. If she's twitching a bit it's because it's slowly dawning on her that she's actually not very good at this and blowsy blonde Pammie is walking away with the 'glam granny crown' right before her very eyes!

Oh the pain of it! ”

Excellent post

I noticed it straight away - I think she's suffered from doing that screwing up of her nose in her earlier years! It was attractive when she was in the Good Life but now she's older it has caused alot of wrinkles.

She's clearly had something done to her mouth - her lips or something - it's a bit distracting.

She was always attractive - I wish women like her wouldn't get it done as it is so noticeable!

I did feel a bit sick last night though with her lipstick smeared all over herself and Vincent. Don't suppose he cares though - he laps it up.

Is this the terrible bullying post that certain posters are up in arms about? Have I missed something Crikey talk about over-reaction.

There's always the Showbiz Forum for those who enjoy discussing facelifts, false t*ts and teeth.

It is really a dance/entertainment show here.

PS Having said that, I love the adverts for nose etc. enhancements below Was it something we said?

So why feel the need to defend yourselves so vociferously? No, don't bother to answer. Sanctimonious? Yeah.

Isn't it just! Sanctimonious in the extreme. Do you think they get paid to do it?
