They're full of sympathy and false praise for the others - and are treading on egg shells around Michelle (I thought her 'do I stay or go?' comment was very telling as if she was threatening to throw in the towel).

But they use Jimi like a punch bag. They're just breaking his spirit.

I just hope that people will vote and keep him in.

I don't think Jimi will be going home tonight. Although his dance was first it had great visual impact and was highly entertaining - some of the other charlestons seemed a bit flat in comparison. I think people will vote for him.

By the way the judges just HAD to be kind to Michelle tonight - I wanted them to be kind even though I thought her dance was dreadful. Brendan's father's death kinda overrides everything....it would have seemed appalling if they'd laid into her.

And they certainly laid into her in the first two weeks (can't remember last week.) I don't think they've given her an easy ride prior to tonight.

I thought the judges were a lot harder on him than the others, I really enjoyed his routine and I know it wasn't technically perfect but I didn't think it was that bad.

I am furious with the undermarking of Jimi and Flavia not only this week but pretty much since the series started. In my eyes it was one of the best performances of the night and it was so enjoyable to watch. Yet the judges, especially Craig lay into him about picky things and don't pick up on major things with others. Craig gives Jimi criticism for his cartwheels and praises Tina for hers!! :eek Going first really didn't help that he went first and I'm worried that he's in serious trouble tonight.
I think the judges should compare Jimi's Charleston with the others so hopefully they'd see that it was good and not worthy of that amount of critique. I honestly don't know why Len gave Jimi the same score as Ann!!!

Rant over!

Well those of us who were cross with Chris H doing so well against Ricky and Ali who were great dancers were told on here its an entertainment show so re: Anne getting sevens I am not surprised. I do not enjoy her but there you are we are told its entertainment.
Personally I like Jimmi but I do not think he is a very good dancer like one of the posters said there is something I cannot put my finger on but there you are.
The Charlston they did was entertaining but sorry it was not that good I enjoyed Kara's and Matt's outstanding.

Sorry I think its Gavin who is used like a punch bag I know he is not a good dancer but hey they really go at him at every week and give him no credit at all for trying to be better.

Definitely undermarked, and I feel Jimi has been undermarked every week (I think Gavin is another one who the judges underscore unfairly.) The performance wasn't technically perfect. I agree that it did lack a bit of swivel, but Jimi more than made up for it with his engery, expressions and sense of joy which suits the dance down to a T. No way does he deserve to be so low on that scoreboard. I just hope that he gets the votes to counter that.

I don't think he's that good really so I don't get worked up when a couple who are on a par with him get a slightly higher score. It might be annoying for those who like him though, I can see that.

Chris and Ann do not compare - at least Chris could dance!

Jimi's dance was entertaining and had a lot of content. Ok, it wasn't the best Charleston of the night, but it was certainly not the same level of capability as Ann, which Len seems to think it was!!

I think he's tougher than you think, Sid, because he is enjoying it so much. Having said that I think the judges are not being fair to Jimi as I really enjoy his dances and am getting reeeeally fed up with having to pick my chin up off the floor every Saturday after listening to the judges comments!
I think his marking tonight should have been much better than it was.

I agree! There is never any constructive criticism for Gavin - always seems to be negative

The marking was clearly even more fixed tonight than usual. All the couples are forced to take turns at being in the bottom two, otherwise it would be obvious, and there wouldn't be any tension.

Jimi's now terribly undermarked every week. He's not living up to early promise, but he's still very decent.

Pamela and Scott can do no wrong and will get 8s or 9s every week. Bruno has clearly been told to make it look like he fancies Scott.

Matt is demanding harder routines, making mistakes, and will get progressively lower marks as the weeks go on, leading to probably the best dancer going out early.

Ann Widdicome will make it to at least the quarters. The BBC vote rigging dept will see to that. Without her, there's no entertainment show.

Jimi definitely being undermarked. Just hope he gets enough votes to be safe.

Jimi is at great risk this week, undeservedly so.

PS... Hasn't Jimi already performed first once this season? Shouldn't everyone get to perform first before others find themselves in that situation for a second week?”

Generally, I think the judges, or more particularly - Craig, get it about right but I have to agree. I was stunned that Jimi's marks were so low. Going first is always a disadvantage though if you are after a high score.

Agree about Jimmi getting the same mark as Ann but the point I was making is they are obviously marking on entertainment - if you like that sort of thing!!

I totally agree that Jimi is being undermarked.

Yes, there are technical things that he could improve on - but you could say that about everyone!

What I love about him is his enthusiasm and great partnership with Flavia - they really perform together. I always enjoy watching Jimi.

I voted for the first time this series tonight - once for Jimi and once for Matt who is my overall favourite.

And a 7 for Ann Widdecombe? Really?

I genuinely fail to see how dangling in an ungainly manner from the ceiling is at all entertaining

I felt quite sick watching it.

Jimi is good but this year we probably have two of the best male dancers ever on SCD in Scott and Matt with Kara close behind. Somehow I can't see him ever reaching their standard and I was hoping maybe himself and Flavia could be winners this year.

Surely good dancing is far more entertaining.

I put a tenner on it

Everyone was impressed with my forecasting abilities in the run up to week one! That first training video looked so promising...
