I've found Pamela a bit ungainly at times - both in her Salsa and Tango. Very true were very unforgiving of all the younger dancers tonight! I appreciate Gavin was not great but he does seemt to be working hard at getting better. Pam is good but the tango was definitely not her best dance, I thought Kara was undermarked tonight but Scott and Natalie did the dance of the night for me. Matt and Aliona imo routines are all too frantic and with too much content which means I dont appreciate any of it, if that makes sense!

Smmooooches!

Its no problem- I love a good discussion! It was a good dance technically but I just didn't feel it as a tango? May have been a combo of the dress and the music!

I agree about Kara and Pam tonight- I was just replying to some of the other comments and Pam is the one being singled out.

For me- and you will hate me for this- Felicity was overmarked again Vincent is dancing and she is being flexible around him! This week her actual dancing was poor again and whilst others get marked down she is given marks for being able to do the splits.

Sorry- *big hugs* to make it a little better

Gavin is rubbish - let's not let his looks cloud our judgement.

Jimi isn't quite as good as I hoped he would be. He's very much 'in the second tier' - the top four (Pamela, Scott, Matt and Kara) are miles ahead of him.

I certainly didn't anticipate how good Pamela would be. While her tango wasn't as theatrical as Felicity's for example, technically it was superb.

I feel Felicity is the one whose being overmarked. And Michelle on tonight's effort - but I guess they're just being kind to her (because of being in the bottom two and Brendan not being around).”

I agree with your take, although I'm borderline about Michelle tonight.

I felt Pamela suffered a bit from the 'Ali' syndrome tonight.
She's been praised in past weeks for her arms but tonight they were more 'balletic' than is right for a Tango and I think she was a bit OTT trying to act the passion/arrogance aspect which didn't marry with the arms.
(Dunno if this makes sense but I know what I mean lol)

With Gavin, I think if he was in a room just with Katya being filmed, he would pull off a good performance but he goes all to pieces with an audience.

Well a cynic would say that Pamela's marks are being engineered to maintain a modicum of 'diversity' at the top of the leaderboard.

Without her, we're left with two "fanciable" males (not by me, I might add!!!) plus the obligatory pretty young thing (Kara - best dancer of the lot IMO) - which is pretty much where we end up series after series. Pamela's being shoved in amongst them to try and prove that this year's different.

It isn't, of course. And if anyone should be up there vying with Scott, Matt & Kara, it should be Jimi, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he's being squeezed (but not by you....)

I happen to agree to some extent about Felicity! She can strike some breathtaking positions, but the steps in between need work. The 8 from Bruno was certainly very kind.

Haha! And there was me thinking I'd been subtle about having the hotts for him

I can't add much more to your post. You some up my thoughts perfectly

I'm banking on you to maintain your presence on ITT.

It's incumbent upon you to get Jimi to respond to a Sid1979 question.

You're in the spotlight, mate!!

He did! Although I could have done without knowing he collects mountains of old socks under his bed

I'm surprised the question asking for his phone number didn't make it into the glitter ball though.

I haven't been watching ITT but it sounds like the standard of questioning hasn't improved since Len was asked what his favourite flavour of crisps was

Oh no - I missed that one!! I saw Vincent last week - I really got the impression that Sid1979 is a known quantity in ITT Towers!

Anyway, I think Jimi is being woefully undermarked - and I'm sure that's to create a distance between him & the other couples mentioned above ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^.

It would be a shame to sideline him - he's not short of va va voom, is he?

I thought the leaderboard was all over the shop tonight. Pamela & Scott should have swapped positions, both were good but Pamela was better. Felicity has been too high for the 2nd week in a row - more dancing less yogalates please Felicity. Michelle should have been a little higher & Patsy a bit lower. Peter was bad but was better than Ann. Gavin was definitely in the right place - he really wasn't very good and only Peter & Ann were worse tonight.

I don't feel Gavin was under marked he his routines are always stiff and boring.

Pamela jumping up and wrapping her legs round James well gets on my nerves. Why does she keep doing that for? Not very dignified if you ask me when she does that.

I'd knock marks off just for that!

Pamela is very good and much better than expected but has she really done a latin dance yet can't remember?

Gavin on the other hand just doesn't get dance - he won't score highly cos the others are improving and he isn't.

I wish she'd take him to an acting lesson - he needs to pretend to be someone else for the duration of the dance and pretend he's in love/fancies his partner just for 3 minutes.

Sportsmen always find this intimacy difficult - Darren Gough did he used to go red! But Darren soon learned that you can pretend for a few minutes and then he got really good and forgot his shyness.

Gavin thinks he should win on looks and muscle alone. Well it helps Gav but you really need to get into it - you'd be fantastic then!

She did the rumba last week, her highest scoring dance........

Also she did a salsa in week 2 (I think). Whatever it was it was fast latin and it was very good.

For those who think that Jimi is being held back and Pamela pushed forward for the sake of top of the leaderboard diversity, she really is quite a lot better than Jimi. Just think of their rumbas last week.

I'm disappointed with Jimi. I thought he was going to be great, but so far his dancing hasn't really 'come together' in the way that the top four are showing us.

I don't count the salsa as proper Latin, but that's just my personal view

The difference between Jimi and the top 4 at the minute is that the top contenders have managed more to combine technical precision and performance, whereas with Jimi one or the other has been slightly lacking each time, and I say that as someone who is a fan, and a big fan of Flavia too. I've been underwhelmed by him so far, I just hope he finds his dance very soon!
