Love Ian so much! Breaks my heart that he is no longer a weekly fixture, but as he is a twitter regular, there is plenty to go around.

Because he is too good for the new style of the show.

Please someone tell me why Ian has been shoved in this dance troupe whilst Brendan and James are still on the main show? Michelle looked so much better with him. Brendan is too short for her.

It made the night for me. He is so stylish and classy.

It made some of the performances bearable....almost

If any Male Pro dancer had to go I would have rather it been Vincent and not ian, lovely to see him back and what a transformation in Michelle tonight, she had more confidence and danced better....sorry Brendan but Ian should stay!

Michelle was so much better with Ian. It's a shame he's been relegated to the dance troupe. He's a much better dancer than Brenda.

It was great to see him back where he belongs. I would have dumped Brendan and James in favour of Ian and Matt. Miss the class they brought to the show. Oh I forgot it's been updated that's why Anton & the Widdie are doing so well.

Just shows what a real dancer and choreograpgher can do with a celeb. The shining star of Strictly returned to where he belongs and brightened up the dancefloor. Seeing him dance tonight just makes you realise what class he is on the dancefloor and what poor subsitutes the new dancers are.

Maybe it will make the BEEB relaise what a mistake they made this year dropping him. Also so gallane to admit that he made a mistake, I agree could not see Brendan saying that!
Now who is starting the " Lets get Ian back where he belkongs" petition

I'm a massive fan of Ian & i know we are all delighted to see him back but I think that it is unfair on Brendan to criticise him.
It seems that Ian suits Michelle better than Brendan but it doesn't mean Brendan isn't a good dancer & teacher.
We need to remember why Brendan is missing.

I agree, great to see Ian back but such a shame it was only for one week!

I loved seeing Ian with Michelle - I loved his routine, and he and Michelle seemed to have clicking in the short while they've danced together.

It's such a shame Ian wasn't asked back in a full capacity, but only in the troop. This week just highlights that he's a great teacher, chorographer, a warm person who connects with everyone, and Strictly isn't as great without him.

Yes, as much as I love Ian and was overjoyed to get to see him back tonight, I do think that Michelle was always going to be much better at the Tango and being in hold than she was at the Rhumba so it's a little unfair to assume that she wouldn't have also done a lot better this week if she'd been with Brendan.

It was wonderful to see Ian tonight - so handsome and sweet. And very noble of him to admit to his mistake (but I also think Brendan would have owned up as well - in fact, I'm sure he's done that before.)

Although I don't think Michelle danced particularly well (a bit frozen and rag dollish?) I'm glad the judges were kind to her in the circumstances.

How poignant that Ian is only here for a week. But hopefully there will be a very tall female celeb next year and Ian will be back like a shot!

Agree, Brendan has to be given credit for getting the basics of technique instilled into Michelle. But I do think Ian has helped her with aspects of that, and particularly her posture, this week. It also probably helps that he's a better height for her and so makes her extend her spine up to him.

But I agree with the sentiment, it was just so lovely to have him back if only for one week.

I'm going to write in on Monday and ask for him to be allowed back. He's brilliant.
