The BBC were crazy to sideline him and the others.

Agree, really miss Ian, Darren and Lilia, the newbies are all OK but it still doesn't feel right somehow.

How must Ian have felt standing there all night with all the other professional dancers like he has been in previous years to be sidelined to some dance troupe that no one is interested in. Sad

He should still be in the main show. Michelle looked much better with him. I have no doubt that if Ian was still in the competition she would have been partnered with him.

A born gentleman, much missed (shoot, sounds like he's dead).

Caved in and watched Ian's dance and loved it. If I didn't know I'd have thought he was her proper partner, they looked at ease with each other. So there you go I've watched one dance this season.

He is great - look how he makes such great friends with all his dance partners... and everyone seems to warm to him.

He's SUCH a fab dancer and seems a really lovely person.

The BBC's decision makes no sense.

It seemed so right to have Ian back last night.

Like it or not, andit may just have been because the tango was a better dance for michelle to perform, but she aappeared to have grown under Ians tutelage last week.

Even Bruce talked about what a wonderful dancer Ian is. I do appreciate that the producers have tried to engage with a new format and that they think that changing the dancers is a way of re-igniting the show but I think that they have failed to realise how loyally some fans are following the professionals - or perhaps it is because of this that the decision to axe all of the really popular professionals..

I agree. He has always been one of the stars of Strictly. Fabulous dancer and great personality.
