I'm pretty sure I heard Alesha say, "you wasn't". That's like an extra dimension.

That's quite normal for Alesha. She also says "You was".

You started a thread complaining about Alesha saying "you was"
Now you start another one complaing about "you wasn't"

Make your mind up!

(Or just add your objections to your previous threads)

It's quite in keeping with the all new Strictly Come Pantomime, though. Oh yes you was, oh no you wasn't etc etc etc

She did actually say 'you were' at one point. I was in shock because it sounded so different...

Perhaps she'll do a 'you weren't' later on in the series?

I don't LIKE "you was"....
I just don't see the point of repeating the same old guff over and over again about how Alesha speaks.

I think it's rather endearing, personally. But I like regional quirks and foibles in spoken English. It would be a very dull world if we all uttered perfectly crafted, Kryton-esque, robotic English. If you can understand what the person means, I don't see the problem. It's like highlighting someone's spelling mistakes on a forum... life's too short, mate.

If nobody complained then the mistakes would become the norm and everyone would be using dire English!

Dire English is pretty rampant on this Forum (although not in your post)
I suppose all this dreadful English is all Alesha's fault...

Ooooo yes. It could be her Strictly "journey"!

No only when it comes out of her mouth. And because she works in the public arena and takes a handsome salary and because the programme is watched by millions, then she should attempt to improve her English.
