I think both Kara and Artem struggled with the concept of the Charleston this week and said as much in training footage......she is a fantastic dancer and a stunning looking girl so I hope she brings some fire to the floor from now on.

hello Carol! how are you love!

Two lovely couples who give us such wonderful dancing without the garbage that some couples are dishing up!

My bugbear about Strictly this year is that it is really trashy - so many props, which just look awful.

I'd rather have good dancing where you can recognise each dance for what it is supposed to be, even if it doesn't wow the majority of people!

Kara and Artem are just beautiful dancers together and I love so much to watch them.”

Completely agree Every week I am looking forward to Kara & Artem most I think, they are beautiful together (dance-wise that is ). To be honest I wasn't completely bowled over by her dance tonight, although I thought she danced it beautifully. But I think that's because I really, really hate the Charleston. But what impressed me most about her dance tonight was that it actually was about dancing! It wasn't about peeking through windows or riding a unicycle or any surface silliness. She actually danced it.

I don't feel sorry for Kara..... purely because her and Artem are so utterly gorgeous together I have no doubt they will be in the final. I think she will soon 'catch up with' Pamela - who after all is sixty and may yet have a bit of difficulty with a very fast jive or quickstep routine. I also think that she is more likeable than Pamela.

I almost don't worry about what the judges say because I just feel so sure they will go all the way.

it's so early in the competition and I think Kara is better to just keep going and not to peak too soon. Has anyone, who started off strongly, won the show ?

Winners generally have decent opening weeks but not at the top of the leaderboard.

The judges did eventually complement her on her footwork (well deserved) and her score was pretty good but I just wish they would praise her more. I thought she looked fantastic - oh, to have a body like that....”

it was lame compared to the others, slow and not original

I thought Kara's song let them down. If they had a different song they would of got a better score.

You only posted one pic of Kara in your other thread!!

She ceratinly looks like the real Charleston deal in the one you did post, though.

I agree that it has become a bit props laden. IMO, that in itself I don't mind and can enhance a dance – if the actual dance is done well and the props are not used as a ploy to detract from dodgy dancing or choreography.

It does seem a shame when a less showy dance that is danced very well is overlooked. I think that is what the judges are guilty of with Kara tonight. Had she of come out before the showier charlestons tonight with the exact same routine, I suspect she would have been marked higher.

Kara is far better then Pamela and is on a par with Scott and Matt and she should be getting better marks.

I have to say I agree with a lot of the posts on here. I thought Kara and Artem were well undermarked this week. I think what let them dowm was the music it did'nt have the wow factor, but I thought she dance it brilliantly and is definately being treated badly be the judges. I am now a Kara and Artem supporter I look forward to their dances every week. It is so so nice to see that support for them is growing each week. GO KARA AND ARTEM

I'm actually really pleased that she is being underscored. If she was being scored as she should be, I very much doubt people would be on her side as much. It really does seem like with every week that passes, more and more people are jumping on board the Kartem ship

I agree, too. All the other Charlestons, while enjoyable, were more about "showmanship" (a word mentioned by the judges), but I thought Kara performed a proper wonderful dance which was not appropriately recognized by the judges.

I really like Kara, she comes across as a very natural girl, no airs, and she can really move! I think she was very cruelly undermarked tonight. Personally I'm sick to the back teeth of the judges fawning over Pamela, when I honestly do think that Kara is a better dancer and has shown that - must admit that Pamela really grates on my nerves for some reason (seems so false) so hey, I'm obviously biased.

I find Artem a little... odd. Rather cold? Maybe just a bit reserved. Maybe it's the teeth. I don't know. Veneers? They're a little freakily perfect, when he flashes them I kind of have a big-bad-wolf vibe.

Still, irrational nuttiness from me aside, I wish them both all the best. I loved their Charleston and I think it's a bloody shame that Kara's timing and footwork weren't properly acknowledged.

Slightly unrelated... but I really loved Patsy tonight, too, which surprised me. Great routine, aided by the music I guess. Whoever it was who said that the music for Kara and Artem did them no favours was absolutely right. It leeched some of the fun from the routine, which seemed to me to be the only element slightly lacking. And it's hard to look as if you're having fun, and really throw yourself into it, when the music is so lack-lustre.

I really liked Kara's charleston - much less gimmicky than the others, just a pure classy dance

Kara was really good tonight, very lovely, very talented, very beautiful girl just have a problem with flowerpot on his head man with the radioactive teeth, otherwise I'd probably vote for them

I love their dance this week and felt the judges were unduly harsh. I sometimes wonder if we are watching the same dances!!!

I think Kara is terrific and, yes, it does seem as though the judges are being a bit harsh with her - maybe because they expect a lot of her.

The judges did appear to be harsh on Kara and Artem whose Charleston I thought was full of content and very enjoyable!

I am with some of the other posters in that I'm hoping that the fact she isn't top all the time and getting great comments from the judges will help her later on with the votes when she will need them.

I think they are a great couple and really dance together well.

Well said.

I'm happy for the judges not to give her the sort of marks that will get people thinking "judge's pet". Four 8s was a good score, and I don't have a problem with it.

The problem is their comments. I'm not wanting them to over-praise her, but I think she should get a bit more encouragement recognition for the quality of her dancing. I think that would help her and also help viewers to see how good she is, rather than just being left with the impression, as they would be this week, that there's something lacking.

QFT.

I really don't know what the judges have against Kara she certainly is the best female dancer. I do wonder if the judges want an older woman and another Jordan win.
