Ok, this is a light hearted, irreverent thread for those who can't be doing with the bitching often found in this forum.

What/who is your favourite worst dance/dancer and why? What had you liking a particularly rubbish dance, despite yourself and despite the fact it makes an awful mockery of the high brow dance institution that is Strictly

Me personality, even though I can't stand the womans politics and watch Strictly purely for the good dancing, I suspect Ms Widdecombes flying MP dance will top my list. It had me crying with laughter last night.... I'm just still trying to process the VT of Ms Widdecombes crotch flying over head *shudders*. I wasn't laughing at her really, it was more with her, and her audaciousness, lol.

What's your best worst dance?

John Sergeant's paso - I don't think I need to explain it, genius choreography from Kristina!

I so have to agree with you. Ann was wonderful - and she did a tango as well! This is what entertainment is all about - unlike how they do it on the X Factor. We laugh with her, not at her.

I love the way she stands up to Craig as well. I hope she lasts a few more weeks at least.

Strictly is so much better this year - I enjoy it more every week and it's been a few series since I last said that!

Chris Parkers Paso, Series 1... so glad he recreated it for the strictly tour. I've probably worn that bit of the dvd out

Fiona's Rumba

John and Kristina Samba for me.....love it

The Bacofoil showdance and JS's paso (but only the speeded up benny hill version)

Ann's Salsa, John's paso and anything Fiona did.

I really want Ann to stay in for ages.

I was gutted when John Sargeant left. He should have stayed for at least another 3 weeks.

How about Quentin Wilson doing the cha cha? That was a real hide behind the sofa moment and so bad it made me laugh Think my highlight has got to be John doing the paso but Anne in the harness has got to be a close second

Definitely John Sargeant's Paso, I loved his performances each week, I was gutted when he left.

I'm not sure whether Lisa's Showdance counts, that was more cringeworthy than causing outright laughter and hilarity - that came later with the comments on here, especially the one about her being a recalcitrant shot deer....

Yep, for some strange reason that's my favourite too. . I think because it wasn't obviously pllayed for laughs.

The only time I've felt truly uncomfortable watching a dance on Strictly was Lisa & Brendan's showdance. Awful doesn't describe it.

I loved Julian, he's still my favourite "hopeless" dancer.

If the samba is the one with the maracas then yes that's one of the best worst dances along with Chris's "Batman Paso"

I've just watched John Sargent's Paso and I don't actually see what was so bad about it. Sure it wasn't 'professional dancing' on his part by even the merest stretch of the imagination, but it was certainly an accomplished 'arch' performance.

Quentin & Hazel's Cha Cha - without a shadow of a doubt, still has me laughing when I watch it, I don't think he's doing the right step for more than 5% of the number! ... Still the lowest ever score recorded on Strictly 8/40. All that rubbish about Ann scoring the lowest ever makr is false!
