Awful Dancer. Not good not talented not lithe, not vaguely good looking and an ego like a marquee.

But I find him very likable - he so hates being crap, he knows he is, and he has no idea how to be better, even though he's trying. I like how he doesn't play the usual game of saying how much fun he's having or going for sympathy. He's approaching this like he would sport - totally the wrong approach for winning reality TV, but weirdly endearing to me, I think because I find it honest.

If Katya could get though to him, or if they get the mythical acting coach in, and he has a break-through I'd be thrilled, I really wish for that, but I don't really think he will.”

Brilliantly put! I have a soft spot for Gavin - he's such a sweet muppet!

In the beginning, I thought that many of Gavin's remarks were "tongue in cheek"..now I'm not so sure.
In his defence, I can't imagine the lovely Charlotte staying with someone who was quite such a narcissistic bore as Gavin appears to be..good looking, or not.
Similarly, his teamates would have made his life hell at club or international level playing rugby. I mean, he said he was a fan of Peter Andre and admired his body !..can you imagine the stick he would take in the dressing room for remarks like that ?
So, he's either a total moron, or a quiet, fairly shy guy with a very dry sense of humour. If it's the latter, he should start letting us all in on the joke.

When playing rugby, he did used to have the complete sh*t ripped out of him, but he would get in there first and take the p*ss out of himself.

As for the bit in bold, he's quiet and shy so he's not going to let you in on the joke!

I feel much the same Don't find him remotely attractive, but I really want him to make a breakthrough and nail a dance

yes I think we're all pretty much in agreement - I really want him to nail the dance because he probably has the ability. I don't find him remotely attractive and all that vanity really puts me off, but I can see how shy he is and how desperately mad it makes him that he can't do what he should - and how frustrated with him Katya is ! I bet he's not used to dealing with unhappy women !

Do you know something we dont? He lived with Charlotte Church ffs, not a woman known for her sunny disposition and mild manner!

I wonder what he's dancing this week? I think something like a jive could actually help him. He's rubbish at technical dances and the jive doesn't have the self-consciousness of the salsa or the rhumba. It's quite boppy and I bet he's done a bit of mosh-pitting in his time!

Fair point, but that's why I posted a couple of arguments in his defence,
There's some big, ugly guys in that Welsh dressing room (I don't know so much about the lads at the Ospreys) I can't imagine them letting him get away with being such a complete **** if they didn't know at least some of it was a wind-up. Perhaps he just needs to say things with a bit more of a twinkle in his eye.

I think he just needs to get really p*ssed like he would with his rugby mates. I bet he's a real Jekyll and Hyde or Superman type. Sober - quiet and unassuming, drunk - can't get him off the dancefloor and beating up hard nuts with abandon!

That would be worth the price of the licence fee, a complete free-for-all every week. Starting with Craig and Bruno versus Gavin, with Ann Widdecombe flying in to break thing up.

LOL! I said the same thing a while ago! Maybe he could just have a couple of pints and see how that works!

It's not actually funny. Drunken violence. Sorry for being pious but there are reports of Gavin Henson being a damned, abusive nuisance having got thoroughly Brahms and Liszt on a train journey. It's not the only account of him being a pest when in his cups.

This. And he has been banned from loads of Pubs/Clubs in Cardiff City Centre. He is a complete t*** when he has had a few drinks. I certainly wouldn't want to witness it on my TV - it's why my Saturday evenings are spent watching Strictly & not drinking in Cardiff City Centre.

It's well known in Cardiff and Bridgend , as you obviously know well Tiger Rose .
Cardiff and Bridgend are my neck of the woods too ..

Richmond Blue he did get dreadful stick in the dressing room for the remarks he makes . It's l very well saying he didn't mean he could back into the Welsh team afetr a couple of games , he said it and he really believes he can .
You can imagine the reaction to the fake tan and the hair product and the fact he managed to come off the pitch looking perfect .

ETA , haven't voted for him and I never will in fact I haven't voted this year .

You don't paint a pretty picture - but he's not the first SCD celeb to be portrayed in a less than glowing light.

Phil Tufnell two timed his wife and knocked her about in drunken rages, Ramps had a 2 year fling that led to divorce and Zoe Ball had extra marital affairs. I've no doubt others have skeletons in the cupboard that they are desperate to keep hidden.

I'm not excusing any of them but why castigate Gavin given the popularity of past 'sinners?'

Of course everyone in Wales is voting for Gavin, well except the Rugby fans who would prefer he make a comeback to his day job, Charlotte's family & friends and those that don't like him. Some have even decided not to vote for him because he is a poor dancer.

She's just been on the One Show saying she's been voting for him all the time.

Sorry if I caused offence, but I wasn't advocating drunken violence or that he should get drunk. I meant he could just to have a drink to relax him, if that is what it takes to help him relax.

She said even before the show started that she would be supporting him and that she would watch the show with the children.

Just watched the result show. It's definitely Katya. The faces she pulls are offputting & she isn't anywhere near as good as the others....

Looks like Gavin is gonna play for Saracens, so his votes might come from Watford North London now I think not!
