That is not true. A professional is one who gets paid for doing a chosen profession. By your standards there are a hell of a lot of amateurs about. X-factor winners for example.

No problem. I just wondered what other people called a professional. Hayley is one and she skates well with anyone from what I've seen.

Soo pleased Hayley is competing.

Not a surprise really that Hayley is doing the tour as it's pretty standard for the reigning champion to come back & tour the following year.

Yeah, plus with it looking highly unlikely that Ray, Chris or Suzanne will be available for next year's tour I think they'll be very keen to get some decent past competitors on the line-up. Booking Hayley was a no-brainer really, hopefully this news may persuade some of her fans to buy tickets now!

Wow, late home from work and missed Corrie... but this is so much better..
So to re-cap ... Hayley taking out a restraining order against TaceyUk , who in my limited knowledge knows everything about DOI.. but reveals nothing....
Chris Fountain is losing years faster than an actress wth Botox and playing an 18 year old next year, so apparently not skating.....
TraceyUK - has become T&D spokesperson on unofficial leaks...
Angela Rippon is cheating coz she had one day as a judge... oh Tracey, no comment on that, come on girl.....
Well I missed corrie, but this was so much better.
Going to restrict myself to one look a day... go for it ladies.... this makes mud wrestling look clean.. x And dumping my subscription to well known Mag... they know nowt compared to what's on here!!! Hugs... x

I just wish that people who are in "the know" would stop coming on here and dropping hints, either tell us what you know or please don't post anything at all.....doing this caused bad feelings on here last year and we want a happy friendly board where people and new posters can contribute without feeling as if they are on the outside looking in!

Stands up & applauds Number Six.

If you genuinely have inside information which you can't share then just keep schtum, it seems a little childish otherwise.

However if people who have no connection to the show or the people who work on it happen to see people practising at a rink then why not share. These rinks are all open to the public & you don't need to sign the Official Secrets Act when you enter them.

So because you don't like it nobody should be posting hints on here? It's a public forum and if the mods don't have a problem with it then people can post what they want. Some people happen to like the speculation

Agreed! There's nothing wrong with us "not in the know" speculating, but those other people just enjoy teasing us too much! Sometimes they're wrong too.

Haha. Or when it's confirmed, they then come in here & say something like 'well I knew Dan was with Kerry for weeks' LOL.

A "hint" is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard to the rest of us, you seem to enjoy the power that you have to dangle carrots in front of everyone, either tell us what you know or don't bother hinting!
The Mods are going to stop you because you are not giving anything away and most people want to know the facts not speculation!

In Tracey's defence, I should point out that she's not the only one who does this. She's just the only one people have a go at for doing so. Eviesmum also does exactly the same thing and I don't recall seeing anyone having a go at her for it.

memmh, I wasn't having a go at her in particular, I meant anyone who comes on here and says "I have a secret you don't know" , she must feel very guilty otherwise she wouldn't have jumped on me the way she did!

Sorry, I apologise for misjudging you. It's just that I've noticed that some FMs seem to have a go at Tracey for things they overlook in other FMs, which may explain her defensiveness.

I do agree with you, though, that the "I know something but I can't tell you what" type comments are extremely annoying. That's not speculation, that's teasing. Speculation is, "I heard that so-and-so might be doing DOI," or "I wonder if pro X is coming back this year," and things like that.

The mods obviously do have a problem with it though as I know for certain that a post by someone else and my response to him/her which both had spoilers in have been deleted.

This forum is the probably worst in terms of inaccurate speculation. For instance in other places I've heard of a 'Comedy' radio individual taking part and an 80s Australian Neighbour - interesting. Which leaves 2 who have not been mentioned. Whereas here someone posts the Paddy Power list including 7 people that were never on the shortlist.

All speculation is inaccurate at present, that's why it's speculation and not fact. I've seen all the names on the PaddyPower list mentioned in various papers over the last several weeks. Despite that, I still don't think the list is entirely accurate although I don't think it's entirely wrong either. Some of the names are probably right, as one or two celebs have actually been seen training with pro partners.

What I said was accurate I can assure you. But there are actually 8 incorrect names. I guess the producers feed this info to the press to keep the masses guessing. Faye was the one I forgot.....of course the reserve.

Please don't take offence because I don't mean to be rude or to have a go at you but how do you know who's definite and who isn't? Only someone actually involved in the show should know at this point and anyone who's involved in DOI and posts about it on DS is probably risking their job.
