Problems with Live Feed
Hi
I signed up to the Big Brother 5 Season Super Pass, but everytime I try to go to the feeds, I always get taken back to the page where you're meant to sign up for the subscription. I've logged in, I've checked my account setting to make sure my Super Pass was active, but still can't get it to work. Anyone else having problems, and anyone out there with any advice? Cheers.

I'm just using the 3 day trial at the moment and this is what I do -
1, Got to CBS Big Brother site 2. In the Orange Menu Strip - cursor over 'video' brings a drop down menu - choose 24/7 live feed option 3. Once there towards the top right is a 'current subscribers log in here option' I click on that and get a request to open a signin.rnx file which then takes me to give name/password and then real player kicks in. Seems like more work than I remember - but you can probably spot a stage your missing. |

Thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated.
Unfortunately, that's what I am already doing. These are the steps I take, and what happens...1. I go to the CBS Site 2. I click on the "Video" menu and select "24/7 Live Feed" 3. RealOne Player loads up and says "Checking Membership Status" 4. The "Subscribe now to Big Brother 24/7" page comes up and I click on the "Current Subscribers: Log In Here" at the top of the page. 5. I then get the RealOne Player sign in page, and enter my e-mail address and password 6. RealOne Player again says "Checking Membership Status", and then I'm taken back to the "Subscribe now to Big Brother 24/7" page. It's almost as if my membership verification is failing, but if I click on the "My Account" link on the "Subscribe now to Big Brother 24/7" page, I can log in and see all my account details. I have even reset my password and tried entering it again, in case that would cure the problem.

Right - well I don't get the 'checking membership status' thing, but as I say i'm on the 3 day trial. I just go from entering password stuff to a box that asks me to agree that I understand adult content may be included.
Not being a tekkie - the only things I can think of short of customer support at real-one is if you aren't using the latest version of real-one (version 10 I think) then update - it might just force/repair any config problem . The only other thing is that as far as I can see you never actually leave the page its just covered up by the real-one stuff, its more like Real-one is just failing. I suppose your not blocking real-one with a firewall, that you're allowing real-one to place any cookies it needs and that you're not using a proxy server that might be causing problems ?Sorry guy just shooting in the dark really - assume you are able to access the video preview and watch that ok (same drop down menu as the select 24/7 live feed). Maybe something in my desperate waffle will help - generally I find the real experts in a bid to shut a newbie (me) up will jump in and rescue you and their sanity both. LOL |

Just came across this link provided by mirage on the other thread
http://www.tvupdates.com/thread.php?f=13 When I go to this page and click on the webcam links - it goes directly to the cameras and bypasses all the steps you have to take from the cbs link. Worth giving it a go ? |

LOL...well thanks for being the 'bait'. Seriousley, even though I've covered the things you've said, it's always good to have them pointed out so that I can double check. ![]() I'm on the 3 day free pass thing too, unfortunately though, I am on my last day. At first I just assumed that the feeds weren't up yet so just waited, but when I read that people were watching them already, I realised something was up. *d'oh* I've e-mailed Customer Support, but on past experience, I may never get a reply, so just thought I'd check here as I only have a few hours left in which I can cancel my Super Pass and not be charged. Again, thanks for your help.

![]() I am such a DUFUS!!!! I thought I had checked everything. I forgot that RealOne player has it's own cookie settings independent of Internet Explorer. Guess who had them switched off? *sigh* Where's that hole when you need one? ![]() Thanks for your help avideye, who needs those real experts when you have a waffling newbie around to save the day.
