...it's all rather dull. Even though I'm not fussed on her, the debut album had some pretty infectious songs and I like the urban/R&B style. However, some of the stuff on the latest one sounds like some Samantha Mumba album tracks from 2000/2001 - rather dated and not very memorable or catchy.

If you're in two minds about getting this album then I'd suggest that you save your money.

I like the nest single "The Flood" and a couple of others but it isn't as good as her debut. I think this will have high early sales but won't sell much over time because there aren't many single choices.

The best songs are "Promise This" and "Live Tonight". They're the only ones that I could...

*remember what they sounded like after listening to the whole album

and

*immediately like after the first listen.

I imagine that "Live Tonight" will be the third single but you can tell that will.i.am's production is the only reason why it works.

Sorry to have confused you but I'm sad that you feel that it's rather dull. But if that's your opinion of it then fine.

I loved 3 Words and have just been listening to this and I really like the sound of it! The Flood is amazing and I really liked Better To Lie + Amnesia! I don't really like the sound of Yeah Yeah but it could grow on me! Excited for the album!

I think it's because it's rushed. Artists should spend time on their album to make sure it's going to be good...

i don't get the criticism...this is STRONGER in style than 3 Words! which had a few good ones but loads of poorer songs!

Messy is a pure entertaining pop album and very pop too! i really like it!

To be fair, that is a very good song. Promise This is OK, but I don't like the rest of the album.

Promise This might as well have been the only track on the album, as its the only one really worth listening to. What the hell was she thinking with this album, it sounds rushed and in her words 'weak, limp and lifeless'.

You can hear the blatant use of auto-tune on every track, her voice sounds thin and very whiny. I'd refund this album if I'd bought it, its not good at all.

Amazingly it actually manages to be worse than 3 Words. But at least on that there were a few gems (FFTL, Heaven, HH, 3W, and Parachute). With this album, it just sounds like the label played her loads of demos and she said yes or no to record them, threw them on a CD and voilá. SMH.

I didn't like it first leason but its growing on me.

One thing that is annoying me though is on Waiting, is there a sample of Vanessa Carltons A Thousand Miles?

I can't believe you like Live Tonight, it's not that good. Yeah Yeah is so overrated. If I'm honest, Waiting, Amnesia and Better To Lie are the best songs

I pretty much only like Promise This and Waiting... the rest are so forgettable/boring/dated. I'm disappointed, but I expected it.

It's not very good at all. About four decent songs IMO - Promise This, The Flood, Hummingbird and Better To Lie.

Have finally got around to listening to it. I thought it was okay. Not as good as 3 Words, but still a decent pop album. The tracks which stood out the most to me were The Flood, Amnesia, Hummingbird, and Live Tonight.

Cheryl does not write the songs, nor is able to sing live. She simply mimes to tracks recorded by others. Her only involvement maybe choosing which songs appear on "her album"

If people are citing 'Promise This' as one of the best tracks on the album, I'm not holding out much hope!

Tbh, Promise This is the best BUT it's the album of 2010 imo. The Flood, Hummingbird, Yeah Yeah, Let's Get Down and Amnesia are all brilliant and there's not a track below an 8/10 for me!

I see she didn;t use any of the Ryan Tedder, RedOne , DarkChild (she did work with him didn;t she?) or Fernando Garibay tracks. Maybe they'll end up online. Would be interesting to hear

[b][b]I really enjoyed the first album - I'm not a massive Cheryl fan or anything but I did enjoy the first album........

The new album - I'm not so sure - some songs are growing up me - here's my take on them:

Promise This
I like the main chorus bit - actually, this song has grown on me - but I don't know about the allouetta bits...

Yeah Yeah
Not liking this atm - might grow on me, but not fussed

Live Tonight
Really like this one - again, it was a grower - wasn't sure about it to start but i do like it now

The Flood
Yeah I quite like this one, again it's another grower for me

Amnesia
I do like this one - it;s not too bad...bit of a grower again

Everyone
not too fussed on this one

Raindrops
Love this one - prob one of my favourites on the album

Hummingbird
Yeah like this one too

Better to Lie
I like this one too - It's good...

Let's Get Down
This ones not bad - again it's a grower on me but I'm beginning to not mind it

Happy Tears
I kinda like this one ..

Waiting
Not sure on this one yet... quite like the a thousand miles riff on it ... think it might be released as a single - I can imagine hearing it in car on radio lol...

The album is a bit of a grower on me atm.....

Final Verdict:
I expected a bit more from Cheryl - and like others say - think it was a bit rushed....I think the problem is alot of her songs sound similar... very similar....there needs t be a bit more variety.....

I thought the album would be bigger than it is atm...maybe it will be the more I listen to it -but not yet anyway

I said a few times she needed to break away from will i am with album 2 and she did. How wrong i was because it showed his presence on that album actually made the album very decent compared to album 2. I can't see Raindrops managing triple platinum.
