Pre-recording the performance and pre-recording the vocals is a different thing. I don't see anything wrong with the former, if it's due to timing issues.
The opening number was ATROCIOUSLY lip-synced to the point it didn't even look like they were trying to be convincing. I was offended on behalf of the country that they thought we were stupid enough to be fooled. Michael Buble didn't look like he was singing live either. |

You are so right in regards to Michale Bulble.......he was miming................i really can not believe that the group performance was mimed..............nobody seems to be talking about this............I can't believe they got away with that...............
![]() Purely because it was a truly horrible car-crash piece of TV when sung live. Back OT, of course she mimed. You couldn't be flinging your self around like that without the microphone picking up on some of the breathing, etc. |

That group performance was terrible! Especially when that boy from OneDirection did his part in that bizarre voice! It was cringe-worthy!

I think her mic was auto-tuned because no-one sounds great when they are dancing vigourously. Especially when that person is a bad singer.

most of it was sung live...fact
why do you people have to constantly criticise? If you don't like her/the song/her singing/her dancing then don't watch it and certainly don't comment. have you really got nothing better to do?! lol. |

Weird my comment was deleted.
It was mimed, even the "Hey!", just like the "Let's Go!" on FFTL is a part of her miming track |

Average performance, good dancing/choreography. I wish people would stop deluding themselves over the ability of Cheryl Cole. She's pretty, generally inoffensive, but she's not a great singer or writer. |

Your ear is obviously playing tricks on you - it wasn't live vocals, at least not most of it.

regardless, i loved the performance actually, hated her previous songs but DAANG that was quite a show!
i actually got a bit too excited really! amazing choreography, great costumes and outfits, the staging was fantastic too! and her vocals sounded weaker than on the song so of course it was live! i mean seriously, miming was SO Fight For This Love! Promise This she really proved herself! ![]() it was a great job, although i want Rihanna to prevail on the charts next week i don't mind because she's on NEXT WEEKS SHOW!!! woohoo!!! but Promise This is her strongest song yet and also very catchy! and that performance made me like it a lot! |

But then you won't believe that she mimed as you absolutely adore everything that Cheryl does, regardless of its artistic merit (or lack thereof) |

Let's be realistic, Cheryl couldn't even manage to sing Parachute well on the live lounge standing still, how the hell could she manage singing THAT well after all that dancing.
Just being real. Doesn't take anything away from my fav x factor performance this year so far. |

It was half and half. Ive watched it twice.
Not a fan but the bits she sang live were the difficult parts so good on her really. |

The fact that people still believe she sang live, baffles me. |

The vocals were weak as thats the way it was mixed in post-production, and a few points it was obviously mimed. Also note than quite often the mix downplays the vocals when the performer isn't a great vocalist - witness what was done with Jedward - you could barely hear them at times (thankfully!).
But then you won't believe that she mimed as you absolutely adore everything that Cheryl does, regardless of its artistic merit (or lack thereof) i have NEVER said i adore her at all, if anything but really. just pisses me off when people all crash in on a performance that I was impressed with! i am not a Cheryl Cole fan, nor a fan of GA at all! but when i state i loved her performance on Sunday you immediately say i love everything she does etc.etc.etc it's obsurd! Gosh everyone feels the need to attack nowadays don't they

but everyone is so stabby when it comes to Cheryl, i thought that she was stronger vocally than Radio One's Live Lounge and Big Weekend but also she was lost for breath a lot! but she got through and the routine actually had my mouth on the floor!sure i have seen fantastic HUGE performances in my time so i know what i am speaking about, and that was a good show on Sunday like it or not! anyways, i am excited for Christina performing this year...she'll show everyone how it's done

On this week's show the only live performances were from the contestants on their individual performances. Everything else was mimed. It's quite obvious.
