Wagner is the new Jedward - a novelty act that people are voting for to annoy Syco

I would rather have Wagner and his personality in the show then Cher and her's. To be perfectly honest. Wagner entertains people and I thought this is what the show is about it is certainly no longer a singing competition that is for sure.

John can sing and I was sorry for him when he went but I'm happy he stayed over John as I find him more interesting to watch. Car crash telly, cringeworthy, but I just want to see what he does. Maybe if someone I really liked went instead of him I would feel different.

Wagner is the only one taking the show for what it is, a joke.
And unlike Jedward he is actually quite a likeable person as well. He will destroy the show from within, and it's well-deserved for the complete nonsense X-Factor is this year. |

If people don't like the X-Factor, why not watch something else, instead of trying to pretend to be ironically sophisticated. It's lame and tired.

And an interesting example of a show trying to manipulate it's audience, like Big Brother but even more contrived. |

He's a novelty act like Jedward imo but I don't think Simon minds having someone like that on XF - gives him someone to get rid of in the later stages.
I think Wagner will be there for a few weeks yet - his performances give me time to make a cuppa during the show. |

Wagner is to the X-Factor what Ann Widdecombe is to Strictly .... novelty that people will want to watch whether they are any good or not.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the wild cards thing and Wagner coming back was put in purely as a competitive thing against Strictly. |

.........If I thought for a moment that the Wagner vote was genuinely a kind of protest vote against the manipulation, phoneyness and general insult to the viewers intelligence of this show then for the first time ever I would pick up the phone and join in with the voting for him.....but sadly I don't think it is.
As for Wagner himself,he is easily the worst act ever to get anywhere near as far as this stage of the competition ( several leagues below the likes even of Chico and Jedward etc)and it would serve the Programme makers right if including him totally backfired and he won it to complete this show becoming a parody of itself. |

That would mean Xfactor is not a talent show for singers. The next Xfactor should only ask for side show acts to audition not talented singers in future.
It's still fun to watch and it is entertainment but no way is this a singing competition. |

what he said. its a protest vote. i wonder if he could end up being this years rage against the machine. he highlights however what this show is really about - entertainment. its nothing to do with talent Quote:
