The Beeb knew what it was doing when it invited Ann to take part

so dont bleat when she stays in every week -like Craig is doing
and if Ann has any sense she wont do a John Seargent and walk .. cos you just know that the pubic (me included) will keep Ann in

some will say - its a dancing show and the best dancers should win - BUT the public like a trier like Ann

the beeb need ratings and this year its Anns turn to get it for them

And I thought they included her cos of her supreme dancing abilities

And Craig is only saying this because that is what he is paid to do. They dont pay him to give generous comments to the likes of Ann Widdecomb.

And the Beeb knew that Craig was going to give her low marks and when asked who he thought should be in the bottom two, would answer with the couples that he thought should be in the bottom two. If he started spouting that Ann was doing really well, it wouldn't be Craig.

Is she ? A trier ? I'd like her more if I felt she really was trying. I'm not convinced she is. I feel like she wants to be deliberately bad and see how far the public will take her.

I liked her at the beginning, but not so sure now

I too don't think she's trying. I have two left flippers and the rhythmic fluency of a 3-legged rhino but even I would have learned to improve on something after several weeks. Posture maybe? Try to learn a few steps without having to be dragged around? Head position? Hands?

I dunno. But she doesn't look to me as if she's making much effort. Not that I waste my money on it.

That's a nice way to refer to yourself and everyone else who keeps Ann in

Very trying IMO. At the moment I am not that bothered about her being in but will get peeved when the real triers get bumped out .

And she just happens to be a well known Tory politician at a time when the BBC is going to be hit by a Tory government's cuts and when anti-BBC voices will be saying that SCD is the sort of show that can be made just as well by commercial broadcasters.

Ann wasn't just invited either; the show is actively helping her to stay in by providing things like that lift.

Craig being nasty, while the other judges aren't, works wonderfully, because it gets an anti-judge vote that helps Ann without bringing out the sort of criticism of the show as a whole that we saw when John Sergeant was in it.
