He did a very good impression of Harry Hill on Britain's Got Talent.
After his other impressions, he became known as...the bloke who did a very good impression of Harry Hill

Anyway when the reveal came no one knew who Paul Squire was. A bit unfair really-if I remember rightly he was a big hit at a Royal performance -ending with a regulation Frank Spencer impression. He was a product of a time when it seemed tv execs toured Butlins with metal detectors hoping to unearth a redcoat(not that I know if Mr Squire was ever at Butlins) . Still not everyone can say they had the primetime Saturday night slot on BBC1-even if it was only for the one series.”

I was going to mention the Young Ones reference:

"I'm Paul Squire"
"Who?"

Bless, he hasn't even got an entry on Wikipedia. They do have him down in the cast list for the 1980 Royal Variety Performance, but they've spelt his name wrong - Paul Squires.

He could take over TV Burp, then, when Harry Hill gets tired of it. Which I'm thinking could be in about seven days' time.

The youtube uploader misspells his name as Squires too

Both Caroline Flack and Jack Osbourne have tweeter that tonights IAC is "AMAZING" tonight and there is a live trial. Should get good audience after XF and if it has a good show it could retain a lot of the audience through the week.

Facebook and Digital Spy go slow for a few minutes after a certain TV show finishes, and people seethe about the result.

Seems I'm a Celeb will get the publicity it needs - thanks to Gillian fainting live ( a fake faint no doubt! )

I did love Ant & Dec's faces!

Ant and Dec seemed more embarrased then shocked.

Not all good for ITV as they are refunding the votes for Gillian.

given what I saw on TV Burp, I have to wonder why she is still on the show, or why the show is still has viewers.

Yes I had to edit my post for the same reason. Televisions Greatest Hits has his ITV shows in 1981 at Wednesday at 7.00 with a high figure of 10.7 million. In 1982 the high was 8.8 million. I cant find an entry for his BBC series which means it did not make the top twenty-unless it had a different title. Anna Dawson, Bobby Knutt, Bernard Spear and Debbie Arnold co-starred in the ITV shows.

The curious thing is that he would be shown the red carpet for those kind of figures today-back then was a very different story. Not much survived on ITV primetime with less than 10 million.

I'll expect Gillian will walk sooner or later if she isn't voted off first although they get stay in the Gold Coast until the show finishes so I don't think it's that bad a deal.

Ah, but I think we both know that if it was the UK, the decimal point would have to be moved

But has caused lots of reaction and hence no doubt boosting ratings and call revenue for the coming days!

It's a shame they don't accidentally leave Ant & Dec's microphones on in the ad break, I'd love to know what they really think.

You seem to be very out of touch with popular TV ...

I doubt ITV makes much profits from the IAC phone votes, especially the daily bushtucker votes which probably don't attract as many votes as the elimination/winners' vote. (Also 15p goes to charity).

Like Andy23 says, it's probably better for their revenues if it makes more people talk about the show and tune in this week.

Compared to the likes of X Factor and Strictly I can't imagine that the phone votes are that much of a money puller tbh and like someones says n the long run it's better - she's get load more votes tomorrow with everyone hoping she pulls another stunt ( although i bet she gets excluded due to "medical grounds"

5.30pm is graveyard, 3.30pm on a Sunday afternoon is a cold dead body. When was the last time anything was comissioned for 3.30pm besides the EE Omnibus and Points of View. Obviously a stinker of epic proportions.

Held on to 60% of its inheritance though. Had Casualty been getting 6.5m, it may have had 4m. It is very poorly scheduled in a graveyard slot. Even without Celeb, hardly anyone will think "must flick to BBC1 for Armstrong & Miller" when TXF finishes. Had it been held over till January or February, I expect it would be getting c4m after Casualty. But it would be better off on Thursdays or Fridays.

That said, last night's wasn't the strongest episode.”

I agree with Armstrong & Miller. I watched the last series but this series suffers from being a small part of a crowded schedule. The entire run either partially or wholy clashes with The X Factor, I'm a Celebrity or both. Why not save it until a later date.

No doubt when the Saturday schedule becomes less competitive, the BBC will roll out endless Live at the Apollo/Michael McIntyre repeats

And then axe A&M because it's not popular enough - or shunt it to BBC2, Harry & Paul style, where it will get 1.5m on a Tuesday night and then be axed because it's not popular enough...

Harry & Paul rated poorly because the material was poor. Being on BBC Two had little to do with it.
