Is the Take That documentary similar to the one they did five year called For The Record or like the one Kylie did called White Diamond which documented her as she toured Australia.

Take That did a documentary for their last tour which played on ITV2 after the tour played on ITV1 last Christmas and it was entirely in black and white.
It was quite well done - if a little self-indulgent. |

Just noticed that Saturday night's Take that programme on ITV1 is made in black-and-white
. I wonder if that will have an adverse effect on the ratings. |

Take it else where. ![]() I'd like to see more programmes made in black-and-white, just for a laugh. It used to be that films (in the 1960's) and TV programmes (circa 1967 - early 70s) might be made in black and white instead of in colour because it was cheaper. In these austere times, does that still apply? Could that be a way of TV companies saving cash? ![]()

Matt Baker is a far better host than Manford IMO, not sure what kind of contract Manford is on, but when it finishes they should replace him with Baker.
Seems viewers can't get enough of Matt these days. |

Some BBC2 ratings to add to MikeTeevee's post...
SCD - 2.6m Coast - 1.8m Titchmarsh - 1.9m BP: $30 Billion Blowout - 1m Later Live - 0.7m Bad for the BP doc....I thought that would do better. |

Thanks for those. The BP doc was really fascinating stuff I thought, but I didn't expect it would do much better than about 1m.

What does that make the rating for Ocean's Thirteen on a channel with far bigger reach?
![]() the fact that ITV was running a weak schedule makes CSIs poor rating even less acceptable and is not an excuse! |

Even Express Newspapers will find it hard to sell CSIs ratings decreasing by about 25-30% over the last 1-2 years as a success.
the fact that ITV was running a weak schedule makes CSIs poor rating even less acceptable and is not an excuse! granted lots of people would have seen it at the cinema/own on DVD, but I was expecting a bigger rating than that maybe ITV should think about moving the Thurs ep of Corrie to run again Holby, that way they wouldn't have such a rubbish night post Emmers |

the fact that ITV was running a weak schedule makes CSIs poor rating even less acceptable and is not an excuse! I'll accept that CSI: Miami is not as popular as it was a few years ago, but the figure you're looking for is more like 10-15%. Very very quick evidence to back that up... w/e 5th October 2008 2.70m w/e 3rd October 2010 2.48m Down 8% w/e 12th October 2008 2.92m w/e 10th October 2010 2.67m Down 9% w/e 19th October 2008 2.93m w/e 17th October 2010 2.27m (clashed with England game) Down 22% w/e 26th October 2008 2.90m w/e 24th October 2010 2.47m Down 15% |

LOL no way has it dropped 25-30%. Are you just plucking that number out of thin air to make a good dramatic statement?

ok 10-15% thats all right then! Although I seem to recall CSI being able to get above 3m in the finals (but maybe that was the Vegas show)
Of course it's not all right, but there's not much Channel 5 can do about it. Both shows get excellent promotion, a plum timeslot and extensive catchups on 5USA. The ratings for both are still excellent for Channel 5's standards so I don't think they are going to lose too much sleep about it, but it may just give them enough leverage to renegotiate the contract next time it comes up for renewal. What we are witnessing at the moment is significant growth for Channel 5 across other parts of the schedule and particularly with its UK factual programming, which is probably making the mega hits of yesterday look less impressive than they were. The simple fact (and uncomfortable truth for some on here) is that Channel 5 just has more hits in its schedule right now than it did a couple of years ago. |

The only standout figure for me there is 2.8m for NaT-building on its 9pm audience is extremely rare and 2.8m for a Tuesday seems odd-surely a typo? Everything else seems pretty normal for a Tuesday.

Good night for BBC1, poor night for ITV1. I knew the film wouldn't break 3m and I was correct.

If you have the multichannel figures, you may be able to find the ITV1 HD figures separately and add them together?
![]() DS has some, mind: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...ns-to-34m.html doesn't really matter, I was just curious to see if O13's got a big boost from ITV1 HD |
