Paul McCartney was on there, to celebrate the re-issue of Band On The Run. Also Neil Diamond & Elvis Costello so it was a pretty heavyweight line-up last night.

Ah, that explains it. Thanks.

Good day for BBC1, with the possible daytime exception of Land Girls. I was certain I remember reading that was going to go in the 5:15pm slot, with Weakest Link moving to 2:15pm? Strong rating for The One Show as well, probably helped by the Regional News getting 6m directly beforehand.

BBC2 had a solid night, comfortably above 2m until 9pm. Their 9pm hour did alright, while Jools did well at 10pm.

Ouch at ITV. Their daytime line-up is doing OK, but a horrible, horrible, flop rating for Daybreak. It maybe half term, but I think all the 'new/returning' breakfast viewers will just tune into BBC1 like they used to. If it fails to increase back to 0.7m next week, then I won't be surprised to see the axe soon. 0.5m is unacceptable, given it's only Tuesday... just imagine what number we could be seeing for Friday. No idea why 71 Degrees North dropped for its finale either, I would have thought it would have increased. As thus, I think any remaining chance of recommission is dead now. Another strong rating for Emmerdale though, Tuesday is normally a weak night for them, so with that in mind I can see them edging towards 8m tonight.

Solid for The Simpsons and Hollyoaks on C4, but bad until 10pm when Million Pound Drop did well, and probably looking likely for Series 3. No surprise about Wedding House being dropped mid-run though.

Good night for C5 for 8pm onwards.

Just thinking back to this, why did I completely miss 'Eurovision: Your Country Needs You' off here?!

Ah 2.25, that's what I meant.

2.4ish peak then, can see that being exceeded this week.

The episodes being shown this week are a re-run of last year's series - I think it will move to 5.15 for series 2 which starts shortly.

Another solid rating and a rise of 16% on Monday night - 647,000 including +1.

An encore showing of The Event attracted 289,000 afterward.

Not sure if anyone has posted this but ITV1 are showing Ocean's Thirteen on Tuesday 9th November - The first part will be 21:00 - 22:00 with the rest shown after The News.

Interesting that Hollyoaks Later was more popular with young 16-34 aged females than Wedding House. (281k v 223k)

Considering it finishes at midnight, I can't see it doing very well at all. Maybe 3m for the first part at most.

EDIT: Premiere of Ocean's Twelve in 2007 had:

3.8m (17%) from 21:00 to 22:30
2.0m (22%) from 23:05 to 00:05

It will fair better than that.

The first hour of Ocean's Twelve premiere back in December 2007 had 3.8m (17%). The final hour between 11.05pm and 12.05am had 2.0m (22%).

Thanks, fairly big cliffhanger last night so I'm expecting it to continue rising.

I see a few mentions on here that Daybreak is being affected by half term

Why is that affected but BBC isn't infact it's slightly up ????

Genuine question

Daybreak is more attracted to the Mums and Dads demographic, hence they suffer more as less Mums and Dads are watching TV in the early morning this week as there's no kids to take to school.

Which reminds me: What are Daybreak doing instead of "Something cool before the kids go to school"?

I wonder how Neighbours on Fiver is doing in the 7pm without hollyoaks at the same time?

"?”

Quote:
“ In the week beginning 20 September, Daybreak had a 23.7% share of parent viewers, down 6.6 percentage points on the equivalent week in 2009 – a 20% fall. BBC Breakfast achieved a 19.6% share.”

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...-adrian-chiles

Those shares were recorded back in Daybreaks 3rd week on air when it was averaging 800k and Breakfast was having a slightly poorer week share wise than normal averaging 1.3m -1.4m.

So considering Daybreak has fallen further since then, there probably is not much difference in that Demo now.

Masterchef: The Professionals is doing brilliantly for BBC2, does anyone know what sort of ratings the ordinary Masterchef was getting when it was moved to BBC1?

In its normal Wed/Thurs slot it usually got 4.5-4.9m in overnights. Fridays 7.30 show got around 4m. The Friday half hour shows are axed for the next run.
