Breakfast runs for longer. With it being half term, the 45 minute portion after 8:30am is probably bringing up Breakfast's average.

That said, 0.5m is still well below where Daybreak should be, half term or not. But I'd imagine for the 6-8:30am segment, Breakfast is probably rating slightly below average as well.

I think ITV themselves hit the nail on the head when they describe it as "One for JLS fans." Not for the masses, then.

JLS fans are conformists of the highest order, they even have a uniform they all wear, I live in Peterborough, so I see it alot.

They are ideal ITV viewers.

It was the semi-final of 71 Degrees North last night. The finale is next week.

That Daybreak figure is shocking. Heads will be rolling at ITV HQ. Solid for Emmerdale. Hopefully it can push 8m tonight.

A shame 71DN has dipped for the semi final. I do really like this show and would like to see a second series...but how many different challenges can they set for this type of show.

And that figure for Fringe seems very low indeed. It's a great show but it's not really a show you can dip in and out of. So now there at Seaon 3 it doesn't suprise me that it isn't finding new viewers.

Yeah I find it strange how there's no promotion on ITV1 for the conclusion to this storyline. The murder episode drew an average 9.96m officially. Hoping for at least 8m tonight.

Land Girls was just a repeat, though.

Maybe it will shed another 300,000 then. Perhaps viewers have thought, I'm A Celebrity with snow and deserted it. ITV1's record in reality, barring IACGMOOH, has been very patchy in recent years: Marco and All At Sea probably won't be seen again and Hell's Kitchen was dropped after less than spectacular ratings for the last series.

NBC would be dissapointed to see this Biggest Loser fail, it seemed a good way to fill 2 hours fairly cheap, and to decent ratings.

Another flop for ITV1 when they screen the UK version next year then.

I dont wish to hate on ITV 1, but I tend to agree.

That said its unfair to say that because the NBC version is flopping the ITV version will, The Biggest Loser has enjoyed 10 seasons of success. The Biggest Loser is not a name here, it can still debut on ITV 1, and be seen as something new by most.

Also it looks like the US show has had a format change.

if they did they are pretty slow thinkers. Its been getting the same figures for 4-5 weeks now.

you wouldnt want to be next to these guys in an emergency if it takes them that long to have a thought.

Hells Kitchen was dropped due to a cost issue and replaced with Kitchen Burnout. Series 4 outrated series 3 and ITV have a habit of axing it after every series; I wouldn't be surprised to see it return at some point. Gordon Ramsey isn't exactly setting the Channel 4 ratings alight but even so I think it could be worth ITV poaching him back.

Sort of another of ITV1's 3 million viewer shows, of which there are many. Perhaps they seem to be missing the point with reality now: celeb based shows were more of a mid noughties concept, and the audience have largely moved on. No one is that interested in two Z listers rowing in a strange environment any more, with one long running exception.

If he's not rating well on Channel 4, then surely he'd rate crap on ITV as well?

Jesus, that is low, especially considering the amount of plugging that Sky1 keep giving it. It seems like every ad break there's a 'Fringe' advert. I hope that they don't drop it like they did with 'Rescue Me', if my memory serves me correctly i don't think RM was getting much less than that before they dropped it.

His Channel 4 shows are terrible and I think it would be good PR for ITV should they bring back Hells Kitchen with him.

It did, when it was first shown, last year. This is either the third or fourth screening for Land Girls series 1, on BBC One.

Wow Newsround 0.8m gets more viewers than Daybreak 0.5m...suppose I can't compare them to each other really as one has high quality presenters, and the other one is on in the morning..lol

Any figures for the E4 8.30pm screening of the 6.30pm show, and also how Friends is doing at 7pm. Personally I think this week dispels the idea that axing the E4 First Look would boost the C4 figures - viewers would likely just leave instead. Good to see Later doing relatively well. I did think considering the week is based around new characters rather than established characters like previous series it could hover around the 400,000 mark - but seems to be comfortably above that.


As for the Million Pound Drop - I know it wouldn't be reflected in ratings, but do those playing online also watch the show online too. I'd have thought the game would integrate the broadcast into it.



Gordon Ramsey though has lost a lot of credibility in the last couple of years, which is crucial for his C4 shows - but wouldn't matter at all for a revival of Hells Kitchen on ITV. I'm sure ITV would happily resurrect the brand if they had him on board - though hopefully would see the sense in going the US route and making it a credible competition rather than sticking to the live celebrity popularity format.

tbh im not suprised about Ramsey this is by far his worse show for C4.its just awful it seems all about him (even though its supposed to be about finding the best chef).

As for Seven Days...so much for this being BB the Next Generation,Im pretty sure the same thing was tried in the netherlands after they Axed BB overthere and the same turkey it turned into.

One good thing for Daybreak is at least during this half term week, they can mop up all the 'lowest ever ratings' stories at once. .

Unless the press are going to report on how the 27th-31st December editions of Daybreak rate which I doubt, every edition from next week to mid February should in theory rate higher than this week and therefore the press stories should dry up, allowing some sort of increase to occur away from the gaze of the press.

I don't get why Studio Five is doing so badly. Sure it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but it *is* good for what it is trying to be. If you like celebrity gossip, it's a really enjoyable half hour.
