I reckon it'll be somewhere in the 2m region this year because:
-It's Corrie's big one-50 years since the show started, a lot of hype and real event TV.
-The Apprentice isn't proving as resiliant to tough competition this year.

Why do you seriously hope that??? SCD has built up a lot of momentum this series and has finally got back on track. One of Corrie's biggest episodes of the year would severly dent SCD. Corrie & SCD share a lot of the same audience, so what would be the point??
And I really don't think ITV are that bothered about winning the yearly averages (they might be) but I don't think they're as bothered as us ratings fanatics on here are

Obviously they will take note at falling/rising ratings, but as long as Corrie is performing for them then that's all that matters.
