Ericsson R380s

WIll an Ericsson R380s work on the orange network?
Whenever I see an advert for the R380 they always seem to only operate on 02 and vodafone. Why is this?

The Ericsson R380s is a dual band phone and will work on Orange. Orange probably didnt buy it for operation on their network a common complaint! I would also suspect this phone has been discontinued. You may be able to pick it up cheap 2nd hand. I dont think this was ever available on pay as you go (therfore locked) so any Vodafone or O2 phone should be unlocked and you could put an Orange sim in it.
