That was a much better explosion and fire than the Mad May one in 2008!

Surprised Peggy didn't shout "you tell em boys - we're Mitchells"

What year did all the I'm a Slater / Mitchell / Branning / Watts crap start?

The house belonged to an elderly man who was never seen onscreen. There was some structural damage to the adjoining Jackson house, which meant that Carol's brood were re-housed all over the Square. Comedy ensued. I vaguely remember Robbie going to live in the Vic and perving on Sam in the bathroom. I'm sure the Fowlers took somebody in, but I can't remember who it was.

The link no longer works, unfortunately. I did, however, find this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QWfIRqSNRA

It's the same clip, but with the incidental music from Neighbours in early 1994, when The Waterhole blew up.

Both the episode and a longer clip of the aftermath is not on YouTube unfortunately. On initial viewing in 1995, I vaguely remember of one of the characters walking past the house and saying that they thought they could smell gas.

I wish someone would please upload the episode to YT or at least the first ten minutes of the aftermath. If they recorded it on video back then and still have it, that is.

It would be so great to see it again!

I think Pete Beale was the first character to constantly pull rank on what family he belonged to.
