Many sets are Pan-European these days, but in any case as long as you connect to a French TV via either HDMI, or RGB SCART, it's no different anyway. There's no RF output on a Humax, so you can't connect that way anyway, and while Composite SCART would probably work on any remotely modern TV, using RGB SCART is better and removes any possible problem.
