I know this was 3 weeks ago, but I still can't believe he was the first to leave.

WHY did Danni give him that dreadful song?! WHY?

If it's any consolation he probably would have been gone by about this time any way.

I had predicted that he would make it until the final 5 or 6 contestants

I was really shocked at his early departure.

No way should he have polled the lowest number of votes, despite the song choice.

I do admit his performance was not to his usual standard, but he had so much more to give, based on his first audition & judges houses performance.

Much love to Nicolo xx

This is a total shot in the dark, but I'm guessing it was because he didn't get enough votes.

You've answered your own question. All I'll add is that Brian Friedman is equally as guilty for the presentation.

I don't think anyone knew what to do with him and what sort of singer he is so they made him into this stereotypical camp diva which bombed. I saw him at essential where he sang songs that he chose himself and he was really good - if a little nervous.

Yeah, I think they took him in completely the wrong direction.

What did he choose to sing at Essential?

Yeah, his Twitter is hilarious and I love that he seems to have set the precedent this year of tellin' it like it is about XF. Other contestants who've left so far haven't toed the party line of "It was a wonderful experience, I'm so grateful for the opportunity", etc. at all.

He is one in a million - gorgeous, hilarious and extremely talented! I hope he makes it in the music industry doing his own thing. I love his tweets too, I read them and I'm not even on twitter. Was gutted when he went, I couldn't believe it.

He actually had quite a good voice I thought, but like others have said Danni picked a proper crap song for him. I don't think he would of gone far anyway, I reckon a lot of people probably thought he was an arse tbh

It was clear that he was so different, that not many people would understand Nicolo. From the auditions I didn't like him, but I started to warm to Nicolo.
Konnie: How do you feel about leaving so early in the show? Nicolo: I'm freakin' pissed.

I thought he was a very interesting character, because although he was in some ways a clown, he was (unlike all the other clowns they've had) in charge of a pretty good voice, very range-y, and he could do tidy runs.

He was like a Jedward rolled into one, but with a decent singing voice, able to hold his own.

For me it's all felt a bit flat since he left.

I thought Nicolo was very talented, but wasn't surprised people didn't vote for him. Too different for the masses.

Hah, Indeed. If only his personality came out sooner he may have survived a lot longer. His singing was good though!

On the YouGov poll, Nicolo received 0% of support. That's right - 0%.

It seems no-one liked him enough to make him their favourite and pick up the phone for him.

I did!

I can see why people didn't get him. Because he was prickly, deadpan and as mad as a hatter. Couple that with some awful editing (although he didn't help himself) and a song choice in week one that did him no favours...screwed.

I actually took it quite personally, we're quite similar!

Yep, Nicolo may have fallen victim to the perception that his head was up his arse - and I suspect that's the fate, which, ultimately, awaited Storm even though worse may well be still standing ...

... Cher "I'm the Bee's Knees" Lloyd and Katie "Desparately Seeking Fame" Waissel spring to mind. Wagner's just there to "entertain"
