I agree. I think John looked to Dave as a father figure. He disagreed a lot with Dave's religious thinking, but Dave was someone who could be used as a sounding board. He had a very different relationship with Dave than with JJ say. He respected Dave and did look to him for advice about relationships etc. I mean who else was there? Ben? Mario? Andrew? Sam Pepper?
