I agree. I think John looked to Dave as a father figure. He disagreed a lot with Dave's religious thinking, but Dave was someone who could be used as a sounding board. He had a very different relationship with Dave than with JJ say. He respected Dave and did look to him for advice about relationships etc. I mean who else was there? Ben? Mario? Andrew? Sam Pepper?

I had forgotten about Mario and John. I think John really went off Mario after the Save and Replace.

I'm not on Twitter and don't keep up with reading anyone's but remember someone mentioning that tweet. I think Dave is old and wise enough - and busy enough - not to get involved. I think John may have confided in him as to what really happened but have no proof. I agree with Dutchygirl - I don't like the Monk side of Dave but do think he was very good to both John and Josie in the house. Let us hope he is a good friend to John out of it.

You don't have to apologize for expressing an opinion or justifying yourself. I left the JJJAT because I have always associated myself more with John and frankly both of them need to sort themselves out.

I like it here because although I may disagree with someone, I don't feel as if people will knock me down for expressing it.

Josie needs to come to terms with her anger and her binges. John needs to deal with his bereavement and his relationship with his father which I think is why he has this angry side. I really think Josie needs to take a step back and disappear for a couple of months. I don't think they will get together or have a successful relationship until they resolve their individual issues.

Everyone assumes that Josie will have the best career and john will fade away and have a quiet life and not achieve much.

It would be lovely if he surprised everyone and achieved success in his own right maybe in clothing or fashion or something. Success without the celeb tag proving all his doubters wrong.

Josie is definitely the favourit now. People say they love them both but the majority are pro Josie and Josie is working the sympathy and attention and John is letting her get on with it.

It will be interesting to see how it all turns out 12 months down the line. I still get the feeling that John has information or evidence which he uses as a security blanket that he knows if things get too bad re blame, accusations he can use.

Agree with you on just about everything. I think Josie is trying to get sympathy, but I also think she is trying to reinvent herself - haircut, carefully staged interview etc.

As I have said before, I think John may already be doing some promotion work or is doing something with the denim shop in Melbourne or his friend who designs tee-shirts. I hope it won't be as long as a year until we find out what he is doing.

Re the evidence. You could be right. Let's not forget JJ either - he may know something too.

You are entitled to visit, and post on, any thread you wish. I am sorry you were upset, I know how that feels. However opinions do vary. The only advice I can give you is to not take the critism too personally. I know it is upsetting at the time but there are many other FM's who enjoy your posts.

Why does Daves "job" as a christian minister of a very large chuch and beyond make you sick to the stomach. At least he represents and stands for something unlike your celebs and has shown integrity unlike them. He is a good friend to John and I think probably Josie could do with some of his advice judging from what she is going on like at the moment.

Sorry for butting in on this but personally I have a problem with Daves 'job' after looking at a number of youtube videos showing how himself and members of that church collect money for the church and as far as I am concerned there was no integrity in the way they do that.

Anyway back to the enigmatic John James. He seems fairly quiet at the minute. I'm wondering if slowly but surely he's distancing himself from the whole thing and from now on we'll hear less & less about him.

I actually think his behaviour at the minute should prove to the doubters that the relationship wasn't based upon fame because if his motivation was fame/money then I don't think he would have gone back to Australia, stayed in Australia for as long as he has now and apart from initial tweets after the break up has kept very quiet. Also his reluctance to go to 'celebrity' events in the past is not the behaviour of someone motivated by fame.

This isnt the right place for this discussion, but there are some pretty critical posts/threads about Dave on the main board...which might explain the issues a bit better...

Can you honestly see John being friends with Josie again?? The bond you are talking about was on a TV show on camera.In John's words they were last happy on BB.The truth as bitter as it sounds,they were a mismatch outside the confinment of the BB house.They dont have anything in common,not only activities but fundamental values and morals of dignity,self respect,focus,privacy and outlook to life.Josie doesnt even have her feet on the ground.Her Aunt Kay had to sit with her and make a list of what she wants.That list shows she wants everything and nothing at the end of it.John doesnt have much a direction as well but he has his feet on the ground and just needs guidance.No one can guide Josie.Why should they be friends? They need to move on separately and each find their own place in society.

A lot of people have a problem with him but the issue here is John lived with him in the BB house,he is friends with an exBB hm,not what else people think of him.

It depends on who you are listening to.

People who assume that havent been around BB for long.If you want to be around long or get something dignified the rule is, dont expose your self to the media too much too soon.Josie is car crash at the momment,it seems to me Sean knows there wont be anything in the long term so he is trying to cash in while they can.Unless they cut out OK or any other mag interviews,I cant see her beyond the TV show.Her image was tarnished at the arbotion interview,the split interview brought in drinking and violence,subtly slagging off John has made it worse.Whether she cuts her hair or not,she has already put out dangerous information in the public domain including awaful daily mail pics. Her fans can go on and think but she is no Katie Price.If John maintans a dignified silence through this he going to come out better in the end.

BIB 2 on the JJJAT yes,but it has no long term benefits that is why John is letting her get on with it.

Of course John can be friends with whomever he wishes. I would never say someone should or should not be friends with someone just because I have a negative opinion of that person.

In saying that I was surprised after watching back some of BB that John didn't have some issues with Dave (then again John only watched highlights show) as there were a number of occasions where I found Dave quite duplicitous & set John up a few times behind his back with other housemates but then again I have to hand it to Dave as he was probably the best game player in there.

Well what makes me sick to the stomach, having a disabled child, is the videos of Dave pretending to be disabled. I have looked at a lot of the other information out there about him too, there is at least one thread on DS full of links and information. I find it distasteful to say the least, especially knowing that he is buying cars, having expensive holidays, etc. on the back of all this too.
