Back to normality and my 24/7 net lo.. Can't believe my mums comp goes kaput on the day I arrive and it is back from repairers the day after I return - not happy bout that.

it was I had a few chances to post when i got use of laptop but mum uses that for work nearly 24/7 since the comp was not there.

I would have been fine if the comp was working cos that is what mum uses normally for work and i'd have been able to use the laptop whenever i needed to.

I only have a samsung genio phone so can only access sites that have apps like FB, ebay and twitter - anything else is just too large a page to display on a small screen

but i'm back now so thats good.

Thanks kinicklurver for relaying the message.Tbh I dont really know why I got a 24hr ban over this.I dont really go to the main forum but was there recently chatting on a nonJJJ thread.Then a thread about JJJ C5 documentary extension quoting John at Spalding was started.That is info from the ATs that is why I got involved. Some one then said,they are banning C5 from their TV for broadcasting it.I responded in one sentence "bye we will miss you" with a "rolleyes". The reason DS gave me was that "it did not add to the discussion"
I didnt think it was a fair reason,if it was rude due to the similie then fair enough,unless the FM pressed the alert button which seems likely. It much depends on the mod who is there at the time. It was my first ban ever,it took me a long long time to get involved in the main forum. But it was a short ban and I saw it around 10pm so I didnt bother complaining and I dont get to the computer until about 5pm on Monday so I just left it.

I have had lots of time last week due to half term but was down with a cold so I was indoors lots.Otherwise its back to normal now and I have been at College. I have had a tough time on the forum generally in the last few months.I was stalked in August and dealing with that left a few unhappy people. But I am a John James fan now,enjoying every minute of it

I am deffo staying off the main forum for the foreseable future.

About the continuation of the JJJ doc,is it 100% confirmed,as Mark deleted his message on the same dayAlso it means they both have lot's of things to do media wise,for C5 to agree to another doc

that has got to be the worst excuse ever. I have seen numorous posts that do not add to the discussion on many topics in the main forum and they don't get banned so I am inclined to believe also that the OP must have pressed alert. If you don't want a reply to your post then don't post. Surely the poster must have known they would get the odd sarcastic/negative response to a post like that. I'd have written the same thing Ucra - is as if they thought them switching off channel 5 would have a real impact on the series as a whole.

Spot on that was the point and like you it was.I cant see how a mod can give me a ban over that and it was adding to the discussion! Certainly the alert button was pressed and some 'depressed' or 'offended' reason given but the other side is such posts are also offensive to us John James fans and anyone who is interested in the documentary,let alone C5.I have even seen the same sort of posts,that is why I made it.I think I have made that same post before as well on another occassion and there was no problem with it.

I am not clear on the rules as to whether anyone can press the alert or only the FM concerned? If it anyone then it might be a different matter,does anyone know who can press the alert? This what I have found in the guidelines,still doesnt say who can press the alert,if it is anyone I have reason to complain because I was stalked not long ago and alerted DS.

sorry to hear you had to have time out Ucra over something fairly trivial, there have been some vile comments about john about his looks and personality that have have been truely nasty but apparently it is ok to insult BB contestants just not each other.So if you do go on main forum its best to alert posts that break the rules but probably best not to reply. everyone is entitlted to their own opinion, i would think it is ok to reply but it seems it only leads to a ban if you say the wrong thing by default,so its best to let others get on with their hating.it is sad that people dwell on the negative,but it has always been the same.

not sure if the continuation of the jjj documentary has been confirmed. someone on the jjjAT tweeted that markmeets to say it was already known as john had mentioned it at his spalding PA so Marks news wasnt the scoop he had promised, he then deleted it.
it would need to be officially confirmed though for me to believe it.If it has been today then ignore me.
