Problems with a blocked T-mobile ported number
I am asking this question on behave of a friend.
My friend was on 02 and ported his number to a T-mobile business contract. The place that he worked have made him redundant and blocked disconnect his number on the same day. Is there anything that he can do to get his number back. Thanks for any help. |

Sounds like it was not his number to port in the first place?

Exactly, when he ported the number onto the company contract, he effectively gave the number to the company. What he will have to do is speak to whoever manages the companies mobile account. Ask them to get a PAC so that he can port it to a phone he has. Note that as its a business account, this could incur costs.

Even if he gets the company to allow him to take his number it depends what stage the number is at with the network themselves.
If his ex-employer has cancelled his contract then he's too late to get a PAC, so he's lost the number. If it's still an active account but calls in and out are barred then a PAC will still be obtainable but it will have to be the account holder that obtains it - i.e. the ex-employer. |
