I wonder if he could survive in a showdown - the reasons they pick for some ot the contestants is crazy sometimes... and after the John and Edward debacle last year...

Wagner's making good headlines at the minute, and I think it will increase...

I have to say that I like Wagner, even though he's terrible, he is quite entertaining wondering what the hell he's going to do next...but does anything else think he could survive, and if so, who against would be most likely...

I reckon so! But only Belle Amie and One Direction would be the two acts safe against Wagner.

It's always Simon that does this. The truth ONLY comes out of Simon when he's asked first. Like Week 5 for Ruth and Laura, if he was asked last rather than first, Ruth would have left - without a shadow of a doubt.
It REALLY annoys me.

No. I want Wagner to win but he wouldn't survive a sing-off.

I don't, he's more annoying than the Go Compare man!

If he gets into the sing-off he's gone. I don't think the producers thought he'd get this far, and they'll ditch him at the first opportunity.

Mind you, there's always the possibility he'd play it straight in a sing-off and perform very well ...

I don't think they could save him with any credibility, unless he's up against TreyC or -possibly- Belle Amie (and then they could use the 'you've already been in the bottom two, so you won't win anyway, let the public decide' thing). I think they'd rather keep Katie than Wagner, and I can't see them sending home any act that hasn't been in the bottom two/three before over him.

cannot see any way that Cheryl or Danni would keep him in over any of the remaining contestants and Simon wouldn't against either of his actsor Katie or Cher so unless he is up against TreyC, or one of the boys there is not a chance

and even if he was I think Simon would get rid except perhaps against Paige who he clearly does not like

Laura was doomed frmo the moment Ruth started to sing Purple Rain. Nobody could have justified saving Laura, so I don't believe that you're correct at all.

He's in the contest for novelty value and laughs.
If it came to a genuine competition he couldn't win an oxygen breathing contest in an oxygen tent.

I wonder if they are keeping his 'opera' performance for the sing off though. Then they can all say wow wagner you can really sing, that was incredible etc and save him.

I don't remember seeing his first audition so i don't know if he really can sing of course i just wonder if they will do this.

If he's up against Paige the he will stay as the judges don't really seem to care much for Paige. They will probably let it go to a public vote against a contestant they dont care much for.

Not to be too geeky about it, but Ruth sung Purple Rain in the sing-off against Girlband, where Cowell voted her off the show putting it to deadlock. Ruth survived by a miniscule percentage.

Against Laura she sang Knockin On Heavens Door, which was arguably eqully impressive

As much as I really can't bare Wagner, nothing is as annoying as the Go Compare man

I don't think he'd stand any chance in a sing off at all, unfortunately though because of all the idiots voting for him I doubt he'll be in that position for quite a while to come

Wagner would survive the sing off if he hadn't yet qualified to do the tour!

He actually has quite a powerful operatic voice. Maybe he is holding back until the sing off to unleash the greatness of his high hitting notes.

Simon definately would vote Wagner off so Cheryl would probably follow suit.
He needs to go out soon. I cannot believe that good singers have gone out of the competition before him.
Chico and Rhydian werre considered the novelty acts that people looked forward to each week to break up the intensity of the competition.
Both have good careers now. As do Jedward, but I don't think Wagner is anywhere in their league.

you are not correct either as Ruth sang knocking on Heavens door against Laura.

Rhydian was never considered a novelty act

Laura was very average compared to Ruth. I'm still in doubt whether Simon would have given in to the pressure and just sent Ruth home if he was given the last vote. Louis is strong!
